This tutorial is for the people who are new to bulletin boards.

It shows all the categories in which you may read or post. If you were to click one of these categories such as "Practice", it would bring you to a list of topics.

Now, if you click a topic, it will bring you to the discussion board. This is where people talk to other people via posts.

Alternately, you can start you own topic for discussion by clicking "New Topic" on this menu bar.

Posting
To post in a topic, click the reply link located on the menu bar at the top and bottom of all topics.

When you are done writing your message, click the "Post" button located at the bottom of the page.

Advanced Posting
This is for people who want to ad a little more excitement to their posts.

Colors.
Using colors in your posts is really easy. All you have to do is write your post in the text area...

highlight it...

and choose a color from the dropdown menu.

Two bits of code called tags will be added at the beginning and end of your text. It should look like this.
[ color=green ]your post text goes between these tags[/ color ]
Bold Italic & Underlined Text
To make your text bold, highlight it as before, and click the (https://www.christianphotographers.com/community/Themes/default/images/bbc/bold.gif) button located under the "Subject" text box.

To make text italicized, highlight it as before, and click the (https://www.christianphotographers.com/community/Themes/default/images/bbc/italicize.gif) button located under the "Subject" text box.
To make text underlined, highlight it as before, and click the (https://www.christianphotographers.com/community/Themes/default/images/bbc/underline.gif) button located under the "Subject" text box.
Links
To post a link, copy the URL of the page you wish to link to.

Next, paste the URL into the text area of your post and highlight it.

There are many more features that I don't have time to go into, but I encourage you to experiment. The best way to learn this stuff is to go apply it to your posts. That's how I learned. :)
