An osprey creates a splash as it swoops down under the water for its first catch of the day, in scenic Montana.

Good catch - both for you and th Osprey! ;)
I love to watch these birds hunt. Great capture!
Don
That's really a super shot!!! :)
Nice capture and beautiful image.
Becky
Thanks everyone! :)
I was happy to get the shot and I love that most of the water is in shadow, but the splash hit the sunshine. I did make a mistake and have since changed the name of this photo to "Last catch of the day." It was taken at the end of the day on my birthday. Nice present from the Lord, hu? ;)
Well done! Just beautiful!
I like this... What a great scene!

Thanks. I've entered it in the current challenge, if you want to vote for it when the voting starts. ;)
Great capture in a beautiful landscape. Good job!
When I saw your image Kathleen it made me remember one I shot some time back. It took me a while and some searching to find it. Hope It's ok to post them in your thread, if not tell me an I will remove them.
My grandson Tyler and I were going down the river when I saw this bird banking high up. I knew what was coming next so I raced for the camera. Wish I could have got one before he hit the water but I was too slow.

Interesting sequence, Don.
Thanks Jeanne!
You know I think these birds can fly under water  or maybe I should say I think these birds can swim. ;D
Don
I think they do the butterfly stroke.

Well first of all, the scenery is awesome and that added interest with the Osprey landing with a splash in the water is great. Love the title as well, nicely thought-up.
Tim
Well done both of you!

No problem, Don. Thanks for sharing.
I have some more of them diving under and coming up out of the water that I took at a different location, but I'm so tired of going through pictures and my eyes are strained from it that I won't post them now.

Thanks for you kind words, Tim!
I don't know if you read all the posts in this topic, but I had to change the name to "Last Catch" when I realized I had taken it at sundown, not sun-up. I shot at both times of day at the same location. It was cold in the morning as the sun was rising, but it was sure worth it. It always is... :)
P.S. You may now vote for this image in the current challenge. ;)
Kathleen know you are being prayed for.
