A vertorama shot of the Brigantine Beach here is south jersey



Anybody else doing these vertoramas. Very fun shot to edit and produce.

Great shot Robert but I don't know what vertorama shot is. Can you please explain that for me.

I think it just means portrait format as opposed to landscape format Marilyn. I like the textures in the wet sand, and the dun colour of the triangular sliver of sand adds a little warmth to the picture. Those are super clouds building up from the horizon with the bright cloud in the center becoming a chief point of interest. You know the clouds near the horizon and the lapping waves would have made a super picture in themselves, a very nice shot indeed.

a verto rama is a panorama but instead of panning left to right you go down then up.  This allows for alot more of the shot to make the final cut. I take both of these RAW photographs  into photoshop CS3 and I blend the edge. This one features a little HDR work and some help from Nik software.
