Title: Clitheroe Chimney Pots
Post by: Summicron on July 16, 2009, 08:07:10 PM
Here is a shot from the back of King Lane in Clitheroe, looking up through the foliage of some trees. Have a good look at the chimney pots themselves, look familiar? Whether by coincidence or by planning they each bear a remarkable resemblence to the altar of sacrifice in the tabernacle, every illustration of the altar has these same shaped horns on them, which the the person having his sins forgiven would grasp as he confessed them to the priest.

Good picture.  I like the way the trees seem to create a shelter, or almost a mask over the chimney pots....Not sure of the word I am looking for here.
