Wind 'n Sea Beach in La Jolla, a community of San Diego, is a popular place with local surfers and very territorial. It's also a great place to catch a sunset.

I was just talking to John about LaJolla. We have driven by there with the truck. Oh how we miss California!
I imagine the whole coastline of California is a wonderful place to catch a sunset, the lower picture does it for me as the tide is out there is contrast between the warm coloured shore and the sea, the rocks are more prominent giving a better defined shoreline. Even though there is more sea turbulence in the upper scene the gentle curl of the breakers makes this scene much more endearing to me at least. Both nice shots, all I can say is, chance would be a nice thing.
The light falling on the rocks really adds that bit of mood to the picture. Love the foreground interest inf both, moss on the rock and those beautiful waves.
Excellent picture, really enjoyed viewing them.
Great work,
Tim
I, too, prefer the bottom image b/c of the contrast and the lighting. Both of them are beautiful.
The color and lighting is awesome on these shots. I visited there a few years back and loved the area. The glider port was a great place to watch a sunset.
Beautiful indeed!
