Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Wheelie bins are what we put our rubbish in. I came across this gable end as Margery and I were walking up Primrose Lane, in Glossop Derbyshire. We were visiting her daughters, when I noticed these flowers clinging to the side of the house, it was the accute lighting on the flowers that caught my attention. I didn't realise just how accute angled the lighting actually was until I scanned the slides. That's what you call modelling. Then I noticed this neat line of Wheelie bins below, and saw the potential of combining both in a single picture, of course I photographed the flowers as a picture on their own.

Ellette

Such pretty flowers.  Yeah, the lighting is pretty harsh, but what can you do.  :)  The flowers sure do make for a contrast with the garbage cans.

We do garbage in one, most recyclables in another (if you put out recyclables you get $ knocked off your garbage bill each month), and yard debris in a third, with a bright red box for glass recycling I think it is...I let Pete do it.  :)  Makes for a full side of the house area, but sure is nice to be able to put that much cardboard out by the curb.

You captured that picture well.
These flowers look something like the lilacs we get here. Is that the name of them! :)

Summicron

Do you know Melody? I don't know, I don't think so, lilacs are a tree, these flowers are like a vine, I know, does anybody out there know what they are, please let us know.

Ellette

looks like wysteria to me.  Just planted some outside in the front last year.  No flowers yet, but they can start growing like crazy and they can sort of cling to anything.

Hey, Summicron  I think Elette might be right. Here is a picture of my lilacs so I think they are has you said a vine, while my lilacs are a tree. ::)

And that's a lovely, lovely shot of them, you've got them partially backlighted, and some delightfully rich purple tones in the lower left of the picture.
