Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Here is a tract I did on faith relating to putting on the whole armour of God.

You Can't Go It Alone

Maybe you're a new Christian, or perhaps you have begun going to church to find meaning and God in your life, and that church happens to be the most logical place to start looking for God. Perhaps you are someone who has been going to church since you were young, and you went with your parents. By going to a place of worship, whichever denomination, it means you are seeking some form of goodness for yourself and in others. The Bible stresses on the fellowship of believers, something so important that it takes up most of the New Testament writings, from Acts to Jude and parts of Revelation. The emphasis is firstly on the new birth the action of the Holy Spirit. Like a normal birth, the being born again is to each individual, you become a Christian through this process, you receive Christ into your life, and He exchanges His life for yours, the life you have now is perishing, and as this mortal life perishes, you have this new life from God through Christ, which will go on into eternity. In other words you have to all intents and purposes received the resurrection life of Christ, and this new life is hidden in Christ Himself. The implication of this is that you and every other believer is made one person in Christ, you are members of His body, just as your hands and feet, eyes and ears, are all parts of your body. Listen what Scripture says about it 1 Corinthian's 12:27, "Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually," V12-13, "For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit." The Apostle Paul in these chapters is dealing with the subject of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but to clear up some schisms in the church he has to bring them back to remembrance that, they having accepted Christ, are all one in Christ, and that rather than having so much division amongst themselves, they should be caring for one another both in the flesh and in the Spirit, manifesting the gifts they have received from the Holy Spirit, and up-building one another through those gifts.
You cannot stand alone, in Ephesians 6:11, Paul tells the believers to put on the whole armour of God, he goes on to describe a typical Roman soldiers outfit, in verse 16 he mentions the shield of faith, the heaviest, most cumbersome part of that armour, and when in battle, these Roman shields were soaked with water, and locked together, front, sides and above, and a body of soldiers could move into battle fully protected against all that the enemy could throw at them, each individually looking out for his comrade. A shield could offer protection to an individual for a short time, being heavy to carry, it would be the first thing a soldier would discard. As a group no matter how heavy the shield, each would bear the burden for the sake of the group, and each man would encourage, each other. Faith and fellowship work together, the new birth happens to individuals, but you are born and abandoned on a doorstep, you are born into a family, and your Christian life and development is in that setting. Many people call it going to church, but it is really more than that, it is or should be fellowship in the Holy Spirit, and if you and others have each received Christ for yourselves, you will desire the bond of fellowship with each other, and the joy of sharing with one another the things God is revealing through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
