I'm not going to go into scripture, but I think its in Luke's gospel, Jesus told two new disciples simply to follow Him, not take up their cross. Imagine their disappointment on being asked to follow Jesus, instead of going to this great wedding they'd both been invited too. What Jesus didn't tell them, was was that He had an invitation to the very same wedding as they were. The outcome, there was a merry time had by all, and if Jesus hadn't gone along with them, there would have been no wine for them, but as we know the had the Lord as a new found companion, and the bestest wine they had ever tasted in their lives. So if Christ says follow me you can bet, you won't be disappointed!
