Post by: Judy McKenna on July 11, 2003, 08:18:00 PM
Judy's Homestyle Beans

1 can deep brown maple flavour pork and beans,

3 Tbsp. ketchup
2   "      onions chopped
3 tsp. brown sugar
3 tsp. honey
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. Worchestire sauce
1/8 tsp. horseradish

Method:

Combine all ingredients and put into ungreased 1 quart casserole dish.

Bake @ 350 deg. for 30-40 minutes.

Makes 3 generous servings.

Sometimes I put bacon on top, and put it under the broiler 'til cooked.

The horseradish is what gives this dish the "zip"!

Judy, this sounds great!!!  I have never used honey for this type dish but have used molasses.

Also, I took it upon myself to put the title in the text and made it bold so that when others copy and paste this wonderful recipe the title will be there without all the other stuff.

Oh thank you for doing that Etta Sue.  I have used molasses in the past too., but I think I like the honey better.
