JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hello  BHenderson.

We're really pleased to be able to welcome you to Christian Photographers!!

Once you've had a look round you might like to create your own album to upload photographs and here is a link which will help you to do that:
http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=7057.0

The heart of Christian Photographers is the main Gallery page, where we can all show our photographs and get some comments and/or helpful advice on how to improve if we request that. There is a shoutbox you can use to ask for help, too, at the side of the page.

We have all levels of skills here so never be afraid to share your photographs!

There's lots to do, both serious and fun so enjoy your time on here BHenderson!  :)

Hi everyone!

I have to say I'm really excited to be here.  I've found a few other photography sites, but unfortunately they don't have Godly standards!  Its been a constant frustration for me, photography is one of my passions, but there is so much in it that doesn't glorify the Lord...

I'm just an amateur that loves taking pictures as a hobby.  I feel like the Lord has gifted me in this area for a reason but right now I don't have any direction on how to use it other than as a hobby, so thats what I'm doing :)  I've been shooting since I was 7 or so and I'm still using the same equipment.  Someday I'll upgrade to digital but for now I'm using a Canon AE-1P with a 50mm f/1.8, 135mm f/3, and a 100mm f/3.5 macro.  Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done!  I'll be putting pictures up in the gallery slowly, it looks like you're only supposed to upload like 2 a day or something?

I'm not sure what else to say...  If you're curious feel free to ask me, I'm a pretty open guy.

In Him,
Ben Henderson

Hi Ben! Welcome. Sounds like we have come to the forum for the same reason.

Wow, another film shooter! That's great. I learned on a Canon AE-1P (I assume that's the AE-1 "Program") and then shot for years with a plain old AE-1. It is actually one of the best main stream SLRs ever made, you have a jewel. Makes me want to get mine fixed, it has a dragging shutter.

My best photos were taken with the AE-1 and the old stand-by film, Kodak Plus X.

Welcome, I've not been here but a few days myself, but its really wonderful crowd and everyone has been so kind and gracious.

I will add a word of welcome and look forward to seeing your pictures.  Art is my real hobby....but dust off the camera and point and shoot when the mood inspires.

God Bless and come often.

There is nothing wrong with that outfit Ben. Some of us have used that AE1 and still have them. A great outfit for sure.

Welcome

Thanks everyone :)

Pat, I think voting in the contest was the first thing I did!  Community is a good thing...

My Canon is indeed the "program" model...  I do enjoy film, film type has been one of my biggest hassles, I just tried out a roll of Kodak's Ectar 100 and I'll be trying out Fuji's Reala 100 here pretty soon...  What kind of film do you prefer?

And Don, I forgot to say...  I agree, it is a nice setup, I'm blessed to have something in the SLR realm.  Sometimes I get so caught up in thinking about what I can't do that I forget all the things I can do! :D  Blessed beyond belief over here!
