Post by: Art-as-Servant on February 04, 2006, 01:32:00 PM
Grace and Peace to you...

I was made aware of this site through the site of Godly Creative People.

I am a working Professional Photographer, living in So. California.

I have a wife named Julie, and one baby boy 22 months old, named Santa Fe.
You can see more biographical info on the blog bio area. (see below)

You can see my Photographer's website here...:

You'll need flash to view it though

I'm also a Missionary with Artists in Christian Testimony, as a Pastor to Artists and Creative people...

You can see my Ministry Blog here:

This is the introduction that I wrote for the Blog, as an introduction to Godly Creatvie People...:

~Artis Divina~ is a blog whose goal is to guide and encourage Creative Artistic people in their quest for deeper spiritual relationships with God, in all three persons of the trinity. We long for you to build a strong relationship with God through creativity, images, poems, songs, and your Bible, modeled and taught BY a creative.

Since much of the Church is governed, ruled, and controlled by left brain people, who may or may not offer Creatives a place at the table of their church, and nonetheless, they are not right brain thinkers, as we are;
combine that with 500 years of iconoclastic terrorism against the arts by the Church, (I'm sure that we all have a few stories to tell...), Artis Divina is part of my calling from God to be a Pastor to Artists and Creatives, and help them find ways to follow God that are based on being a Creative, myself.

Since I am a creative, I've been asked to model the styles of relationship building with God that I have been taught, and then have adapted to the Artistic personality. For many years, while growing my relationship with God, I enjoyed the writings of Oswald Chambers. Awhile back, I learned that Oswald Chambers had been to school for an Arts Degree, before God called him to the Ministry. I was bemoaning to God the fact that Chambers hadn't been called to work with Artists, when God said to me, "That's what I want you to do..."

While not being ordained, I am a Missionary with Artists in Christian Testimony, based in Franklin TN, and also an accredited Spiritual Director. Even though I am a Protestant, I actively cultivate and develop relationships with the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, as I am not called to just one branch of the tree.

I am also a working Photographer, Sculptor, Designer, Artisan, singer, whistler, and Author. :-)

~Artis Divina~ will showcase as many styles and expression of the arts as possible, combined with the many ways that God speaks to us, while we seek to Know God more intimately, and grow into whole people, and grow out of the wounding from our families, and the cultures we find ourselves in.

So, Come and See, taste what is good and true, and enjoy the aroma of Christ at ~Artis Divina~
Come join the adventure, the quest to find God's character, His Light, His Love, and His Holiness, as we seek to Form our lives in Him, to Reform our thoughts, to Conform our will to His, and to Transform our minds into His pattern.

Only by His Marvelous Grace,
Paul Kiler
