Hello - self-evidently I'm new here and don't quite know what to expect and am struggling a bit with navigation, but I'll get there.  Thanks to Annabanana for telling me of the site.

A bit about me - I'm in the second half of my 50's, married to Sandra, and have two children, Louise 22 and Andrew 17.  We are a Christian family and worship at a small (but growing!) church called The Church of the Lamb of God, based in Redcar, close to here.  Sandra and I are both church Elders, and if I'm not taking my turn at leading a meeting I operate the 16 channel sound desk and attempt to keep our great worship team under control... I don't often succeed!

I have been interested in photography since my early years, but have had that reawakened by the present reality of high quality digital cameras.  You'll find me as oldgreyheron on ephotozine.com.  I also enjoy our garden, bird watching, reading, family tree research, messing about here on the computer.  I work as a self-employed Human Resources Consultant, after more than 30 years as an employee in the local chemical industry.

I look forward to meeting people here, and seeing how things work!
