I am an eighteen year old, a stay at home daughter. I live with my parents, younger brother and sisters in Arizona.

My interest in photography began when I was about eleven. My parents bought me a camera for my birthday and only lack of film moderated the amount of photographs I took! About a year or so later, my parents bought our first digital camera - an Olympus Camedia. I loved it! When my parents bought a Rebel XT, I grew somewhat camera shy and did not take many pictures for a while. About a year ago, my interest was reawakened and I now take pictures quite frequently.

My main camera is the Canon Rebel XT. My favorite subjects for photography are my family and church family, though I also enjoy photographing various other things. So far, I have used the camera mostly as a point and shoot but I am beginning to learn how much more I can do with it besides.

I also have an interest in learning to use Photoshop. We have Elements and I only know the rudiments of it so far.

My ambition is to learn to be good photographer and to use my knowledge for the glory of my LORD.

That's a great camera.  I use the Nikon D80 but both Canon and Nikon are fantastic.

Hi Rebekah!  (my granddaughter spells her name with 2 c's and no h  ) I think you will really like it here ... I'm not a photographer but I still get to hang around with these great folks ... that's why they're so great!

I just echo the words of the others who have welcomed you!  There are lots of different places  to go in Christian Photographers, and all of them are great!  Come on over to "Thoughts for the Week," and you might also find some interesting things in Manna.  Hope to see you in these places.

Not everyone on here is like Jane up in Coos Bay, who thinks she's the reason everybody on here is so friendly!  (I think that's what you said, Jane!)

Actually I meant that's why all y'all are so great -- you let non-photogs like me hang out with y'all.   

I'm mostly one of those nons too.

Welcome Rebekah all these others have had a senior moment and forgot to tell you to come on over to the Thoughts for the week forum. That's where we all hang out, there is a devotional at the beginning of each week for us to ponder and discuss if we choose to do that. Mostly we treat it like our daily coffee shop. Hope to see you there.
