I don't know or understand anything about HDR, but those pictures are great - sharp and clear in all directions.

You're really good at that! One of these days I'm gonna have a go at an HDR.

So go here, and get started:

All you need to do is take three shots, one underexposed, one normal, and one overexposed.   Pick a picture with high contrast, like shadows in front of a bright cloudy sky.

Then crank up the software, follow directions, and you're on your way.

Oh, there's often more noise with HDR, so after you finish, you might want to run it through a noise reduction program.   Here's a good free one:

I think this one best, contrast is better and it may be a little sharper.

Yes, there was a little ice.   For some reason, the HDR came out very cold-toned here.   Much of the pavement is merely wet, but the increased tonal range seems to make it look like ice.
