Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

It started to rain as the bus neared Bolton, it came down fairly heavy, as usual the camera was round my neck and I was shooting odds and ends through the bus windows, all of which were rubbish, but this one of the tail lights of another bus I quite liked, it was the red tail light set against the almost greyish white panel that looked attractive.

When I Got into Bolton, I headed off to the market, they have the sweetest oranges ever, the tenderest Steaks, Sirloin, and I live quite close to Houghton Towers Where I think it was King James the first, well pleased with his loin of beef gave it a knighthood, and told Sir Loin to arise, and its been sirloin steak ever since. However I digress, I came across this panel at the back of a seat outside the age concern cafe (I call it beige concern) well spattered with the rain, tried three shots only one was sharp, then I tried two more shots of a colourful market stall, then a wonderful collection of kiddies bikes, neither of the subjects really worked, so I got my shopping and headed for bus, any bus, which just happened to be the Wigan bus.

Well the bus went all (literally) the way round the houses we went through Westhoughton Hindley then Tylsley, at the bottom of Tylsley there was a crossing, it looked like a possible shot so gave it a go through the wet bus window, pleased with the shot. No we didn't go through Abram, or Culcheth. And before you say it, they haven't changed Abram to Abraham :clobber:

Having got to Wigan I hadn't long to wait before the Chorley bus trapped, as I wanted a couple of things from Booths before heading home, so I left the bus station walked down by the car park, and the men were clearing the market stalls away from Tuesday's flat iron market, the neon lights were simply stunning reflected in the puddly pavement, I had to get a shot of this, only thing possible was to brace the camera against an upright and hope for the best, and yes it did work, only got the one shot as the workmen and the wagon moved on.

Another enjoyable trip with you.  I love the reflections...just beautiful.

Looking through rain can be so interesting in how the surrounding area is reflected off the drops.

Well done.

These travels-with-camera are always so fascinating and most enjoyable.  Thank you!

That one is exceptional.    A difficult subject, very well done.
