Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I recently started a gallery on my website, http://www.shekinahphotography.com/, (called Digi Fauxtography) where I am posting photos that I have used filters on to make them into something else or something extraordinary from the ordinary.  I will post two of them where I began with the same image file for two completely different looks.  Let's see if you all can guess what I used for the original image.

Thanks, Judy.  I named it stained glass, but it didn't start out that way.  hehe

Colored pencils or crayons? ???

Good guess, Keven.  That's not what it was, though.  Keep guessing.

Let's see...how long should I wait to reveal?????

Mosaic filter?

I actually used the Stained Glass filter on the original image, Scotty.  I tried one with the mosaic filter, too, and it was cool but I liked this one better.  I think I needed to enlarge the tiles a bit.

Anyway, what was the original image?

Here's a hint...I took it at night...recently...outdoors!

My next guess would have been christmas lights too, perhaps behind a corregated type of glass?

shutterbugmom

You guys are smart!  Yep, it's Christmas Lights.  Well, the reflection of our neighbor's Christmas lights on our wet driveway.   Before we got all the snow, we had rain.  We were leaving to go somewhere and I noticed them and made sure to take a picture when we got home.  Pretty cool, hu?

Yes I would love to see the original as well.  You have an amazing imagination!!

Summicron

I'd say Christmas lights outdoors, the filters your using come with Photoshop, or whatever, certainly colourful, and the balance of colours are well thought out. Could make good stairwell posters. Why stairwell? I can just picture them hanging on the side of the stairs.

I like the first very much.   Maybe it would be nice to have a "digitally altered" forum, if there was enough interest in it.

That would be a cool thread to have on here.  We'll have to see what Pat thinks...Well, Pat?

Thanks, Judy!  I posted the original now.  Here's another version for you to see, it's another frosted glass look.  I really like the softness of this one...

Ooooooooooo. I like it. You did a good job with the filter. By the way, if you make the text as big as it gets, you can see the . on the end of all the O's at the beginning of my post.
