The following are kind of sad for me. The first one is just a quick modification of a photo I took on a walk after we found out Smokey has cancer.
The second was also taken an that same walk. I was trying to convey life's journey does not end with death.
I was just wondering. Do these photos work? Do I have to remove the leash? Is the "tunnel effect" too much on the first one?
NO NO NO. They are perfect. I had 3 pets take that walk. Yes they are sad journeys.
Do you still have him?

Yes, Smokey is still with us, for now. The vet said he had only days to weeks left.
It's been 4 days since the results came in.
Oh dear. So sad. This is a terrible disease that we are fighting. I will be praying for you.
You asked about the leash...It looks like you are restraining him from taking that path until it is absolutely necessary. I understand that.
Beautiful pictures, though heart-rending. Great that you will have these pictures and memories.
He is a beautiful dog and I think the pictures work or sure. I know he is a great companion that will be missed. That second one does it for me. He looks like he is longing to continue his journey.

How about an update on Smokey? How is he doing?
Sorry I missed this earlier. It's hard to lose a beloved animal friend. In spite of that, we do it again, and again, because there's something they give us that we can't get any other way. My heart goes out to you and Smokey.
Soon we will arrive at the situation in which death will be no more. God greatly bless you and Smokey in these remaining days.
I played around with the bridge photo, changing it to a golden hue.
I'm certainly no expert, but I like the new bridge photo very much. I can truly understand how you would feel about that dog. I love dogs. What companions they indeed are.
How is Smokey doing?
Well I am sad to say that Smokey crossed that bridge at 3:00AM Monday morning at a local animal emergency clinic.
Ohhhh I don't know how I missed this. Pat told me the sad news. I am so sorry.
You will see that Pat has had Geordie take the same trip as with Smokey. May God be with you all.
