Title: A Prayer of Surrender.
Post by: Shinenlite on July 17, 2003, 11:51:50 PM
I found this while sifting through my documents. I had forgotten I wrote it.
God didn't...

Father God,
I come before Your throne this day seeking Your face,
seeking Your wisdom, and seeking Your grace.
That You would be faithful to lead me to You.
To walk in Your ways in all that I do.
This place of confusion I find myself in,
results from my choices to follow my sin.
I know now.  I see it for all that it is.
I recognize how it is not right in Him,
and I ask You to show me the path I should take
to walk in forgiveness and not my mistakes.

To surrender myself, the desire of my heart.
I need Your assistance in choosing my start.
I want to obey You and I want to grow
to be all You desire me to be cause I know
that Your plan is much better than one I design,
please help me Lord Jesus, my flesh to resign.
Please give me the knowledge to make the right choices
and not be misled by just any old voices
that give their opinion, it's Yours that I crave.
Release me from bondage and make me Your slave.

NOTE TO PAT: Do you see what happened when I tried to make the letters of the poem purple? (Look at the top of the poem)
That is what I was referring to.
What am I not doing correctly?
Thanks for your help.

Blessings to you and yours in the Name of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Hi Jo...

You must have closing tags or the opening tags won't work.

I inserted the closing tags and voila!  All's purple!

Go into "Modify" and have a look.

Go to our Practice area and practice over there and see if you can do it there.
