Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Altered At the Altar

His Blood on the altar
Altered my reality.
I am able to rest
Take a deep breath and relax.
You are not holding my sins against me.
I am released from all retribution.

Lord, when I fall on my face
Scoop me up, cup my chin in your hands,
Lift my head until I look you squarely in the eye.
Speak the truth of freedom to me, again.
Drive the demon of shame away.
Make truth reverberate throughout my being;
The penalty has been taken.

I need Your illumination
To chase shadows of deception away.

You don't see a sinner standing in my shoes,
Head down, eyes averted.
You see a brand new creation
Dressed in robes of righteousness
Skipping radiantly to the throne.

What an astonishing actuality.

When faced with temptation
Take me to place
Where the blood freely flowed.
Remind me that I have not resisted and agonized over
Sin so firmly that blood flowed as sweat.
Show me the door of escape
Your grace has provided for me.

Expose the strongholds of idolatry
I pamper and protect.
Lord, drive out the inhabitants of the kingdom of self.
Remind me I have been altered at the altar.

Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we're a free people–free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free!                              Ephesians Message Bible

Oh, my...  What would we be if it hadn't been for the blood freely shed for us on Calvary?  Thanks for sharing, Mary.
