Title: Hope Eternal
Post by: Chris & Margit Saunders on July 09, 2003, 04:41:42 PM
Hope

Waiting for a hand to move.
Trusting that it will move in favor.
Expecting the hand to rest on where
pain and sorrow dwell.

There is only one that can reach so deep,
Only one that can touch body and soul.
His name is Hope Eternal
and where He dwells
Sorrow and pain are no longer master.

Margit Rhone-Saunders.

Amen.

When my father was first sick, the doctor's told us we had "false hope," because there was no indication that Daddy would ever come out of the coma.  What I have since learned is that if I have indication towards something, then it is not hope.  Hope is being able to trust Jesus no matter what "circumstances" may be, and having faith in Him to go with me step by step.

Thanks so much Margit!  There's so much truth in that poem.  May we all have a personal relationship with "Hope Eternal".

(I know that when Jen comes home from her little camping trip, she'll be happy to see this poem.)
