i know the iambic pentameter is off a bit ...but its from my heart. . .


   What Time Is It?

A friend of mine,  the other day
Just 36,  when he passed away
I didn't know just what to say
And  friend,. . . . . .
You  don't know the time

We start our lives with anticipation,
Face this life with jubilation,aggrivation
But sonner or later we all pass the station,
And friend,. . . .
You don't know the  time

We think we have it all together
We can do it alone,  it doesen't matter
What others think, we would just rather
Get all we can,  make our bankrolls fatter
And   friend,. . . .
You don't know the time

The place, the hour , we do not  know
The time is set, but on we go
Forgetting the master, the creator of, our very  soul
Not connecting with either fact, or rhyme
And  friend,. . . . .
You don't know the time

Day or night, young or old
The hour when that time will come,
Could be in the hospital or even  at home,
That time is set, you don't know it yet
But someday he'll break with your  lifeline
And  friend,
You don't know the  time

It could be a long illness or a sudden crash
Today you could have breathed your last
On the road to destruction or Heaven sublime
And friend,.......
You do not  know the  time

Or even the Lord,  this very day
He could return, to have his say,
But so many  people they will not learn,
The saviors heart, and how he yearns
To let him loosen, their sins that bind
No my friend, another day you may not find
So always keep these words in mind
Till before his knees we all will go
Then he'll claim his own who love him so
And friend.......
We just don't know that time
