Title: SILENCE
Post by: Elizabeth on October 10, 2003, 01:23:11 AM

                 SILENCE

Christian people exist in silence
 as dark forces of violence
Taint the purest air,
 causing the soul to despair.
Leaders of both world and church
 scramble for the safest perch,
Never thinking of Heaven or Hell
 hiding, secure, behind soft-sell.
Will a world soon regret
 without a moment to repent
Of sins, now grown so vast
 this planet may not last.
Must all our children perish
 while nations cease to cherish
A love of God, that slowly dies,
beneath the splendor of Satan's lies?

                  -by Liz W.

I wrote this some ten years ago, when our world seem to be spinning out of control!

2.10 p.m. England.

Liz this is a great poem....The world does still seem to be spinning out of control.  I note though that you wrote this 10 years ago.  We are still here 10 years on.

GOD IS GRACIOUS.  PRAISE HIM!

Let's see some more of your works...You clever girl you.

Love Jenny. X

Thanks Jenny.  Perhaps I should explain that this was not intended to be either judgmental or prophetic.  It was and is, merely an observation.  Expect there will be miles and spins to go for the world, despite all the flexing of nuclear muscles.

Since the bible is quite clear about how things will end, possibly all we can do is trust, pray and keep our own little space tidy.

Liz.

Hi Elizabeth,
I really love this poem... I think the world is more out of control now compared to ten years ago.

Do you think it's .. the same ... or worse?

I haven't visited 'Poet's Corner' lately and so missed your question Haley.  Yes, I believe that things are now worse and it makes me want to stay very close to Jesus.  Thanks for your kind words.

God Bless,
Liz
