I will walk through the valley with you
I will step into darkness with nary a care
for though I can't see you, I know you are with me
To lovingly carry me through
When trouble and hard times surround
And all I had hoped for seems hopeless to me
I will stand in the promise of your faithful care
and wait for your grace to abound
I am your precious child, you have told me it's true
You have rescued me time after time
And I know that if I can stay focused on you
By your mercy, you'll do it again.
So I'll walk through the valley with you
I will step into darkness with nary a care
For though I can't see you I know you are with me
to lovingly carry me through
Joann Tompkins Winborn
Going through the valley is never easy, or fun, I daresay, but it is so important, because that is where God can really use us and where we can really grow stronger.
Thanks for posting this, jo.
That's a wonderful poem. Very touching, very true. Thank you for sharing that with us.
