Title: To My Wife On Our 10th Anniversary
Post by: pixel on September 06, 2008, 08:25:38 PM
Wrote this one for my wife on our 10th wedding anniversary.  We just this past July celebrated 16.

It all started with a simple date

from school to church

I couldn't wait

Packing your clothes

in hurried pace

We loaded my truck

and went to live

at the Crace's place

A few weeks later

once on our feet

We moved to Flatwoods

to our own little retreat

What fun it was living alone

but something was missing

So in July we became one

Newly weds we were

with a big world ahead

A toss of coin

we chose Texas to live

So far away

from family and friends

We packed up the Ryder

and off to Columbus to live

Staying by my side

steady as a rock

You went with me to live

near a place called

Hanging Rock

We weathered the storm

and stronger we grew

Your tears turned to smiles

with Charlotte in view

These many miles

we've done as one

But for now we travel

just to have fun

Each day I wake

we pass a note

Saying were mad or excited

but love the final quote

Kerrie I love you

and I pray each night

The Lord bless you all day

till next sunlight

These ten years of marriage

have meant so very much

Thank you for choosing me

to share your love and touch

I love you
