Title: Weariness
Post by: Chris & Margit Saunders on September 09, 2003, 04:00:21 PM

A poem when too tired to think straight! lol.

Take Me Aside.

Oh Lord, I am so weary, and yet,
I know, so blessed,
I have nothing to complain of,
And yet, I must have rest.

This world so drains my energy,
With all it''s toil and cares,
I know I must be cautious,
With all the traps and snares.

So give me peace oh Lord this day,
For I must find the time to pray,
Take me aside and bid me "still."
And let me rest in Thy perfect will.
Amen.

Thanks Chris...Very apt.  Fits our theme for "This Morning".......it's  true if you don't become still you will not be able to think straight and pray.

I join you with the"Amen"

Jenny.

Chris/Margit - that's truly beautiful, beginning & ending as it does with rest.  We need rest at times, but the best rest, as you've pointed up, is rest in His will.  Thanks.

Yes Al,
it brings to mind the beautiful hymn.
"Safe in the Arms of Jesus."

So very true, I've written a few like that.  But God is faithful to renew our strength as needed.
