I have rather serious swelling occurring in my left leg. It was at one time called lymph edema, meaning that the lymph system wasn't draining properly. It's gotten somewhat worse this past week, and I'm going to a physical therapist specialist today about it. It's a critical situation, as i'm already wearing compression hosiery, and that's not working very well at all. Please pray that the specialist will discover some solution to this.
Al I am praying. Do you know Doralee Heisler for the Senior Center, She has lymphEdema in her right arm. She is going to a clinic in Medford that is helping her, the physical therapist in Eureka sent her there. You will be needing some lymph massage to release the fluid buildup.
I am praying Al.
Sorry, Al, I'm just now getting here ... :-\ I can understand the concern you have regarding this problem. I pray your trip to the specialist will bring a quick solution. Not a good thing to be in pain and not know the reason, is it?
Dear Al,
I send up prayers for a true solution to your leg swelling. Will keep you in my thoughts.
Carol
I, too, will pray for your leg, dear brother, and the rest of you as well. :)
I will also be praying that a solution will be found soon.
God Bless,
Liz
I'm praying, Al.
Look after yourself bro.
Thank you one and all so much for praying. Just got back from the specialist. She thinks she can get the swelling down, and then I'll have to wear a different pair of compression stockings. She says age and weight have lots to do with it. I'm working on the weight problem, so please pray I'll be successful.
Al, glad you got some encouraging news from the specialist. Hope the different stockings help relieve the problem. Guess you can't do anything about the age part. :) I will be remembering you in my prayers.
I'm praying, Al, that you'll be able to get hold of the cause.
Gripped,
Kevin
Our loving Father God, we pray in Jesus Name for healing for our brother's leg and for all the many ailments that afflict Al and Marbeth, due to many different factors, Lord grant healing we pray, to Your praise and glory in Jesus, amen.
The love of you brothers and sisters is most heartening. I thank my God for using you in prayer to accomplish His perfect will. I've been back to the specialist a couple of times now, and the swelling is down very considerably. It's possible that the compression stockings I've been using were slightly too small and that this was causing a good share of the problem. We've also been looking at causes for all this, and it appears that my great auto accident, way back in 1977, may be a chief culprit. It broke my femur in three places, resulted in removal of my spleen, three cracked ribs, four teeth cleanly removed, many other bumps/bruises. Since my present problem is probably lymph edema, it appears that the spleen removal has a lot of bearing on it. However, regardless of all these causes, she thinks that the new stockings and weight reduction will help a lot.
Well, it looks like that's the last (yesterday) time I'll have to go to the specialist for a while. The swelling is about gone! It turns out that the chief culprit has been that the compression stockings were too small, and, little by little they began causing a problem. So now I've got bigger ones, and it should be ok. Thanks be to our God! And thank you all for being used in prayer to accomplish this!
Al I am rejoicing with you that the situation seems to be solved. Indeed, we all thank God for this report.
I am continuing to pray that this is a permanent answer to your leg problems
Al: I just read that you are continuing to have swollen leg problems. Well, the prayers will continue as well. My best to you.
