Hi Janet!

I was sorry to read in another thread that Beth is having trouble voiding.  I do pray that this problem will be short-lived.  I pray daily for Beth, Janet.

Thank you to all of you for remembering to pray for Beth.  She got another prescription yesterday (for urinary tract infection) but that isn't what they say the problem is.  I hope it helps, anyway.  Her appointment with the urologist is on Wednesday.

JANET~I continue to pray for Beth, and I have Wednesday marked.  I know you will let us know the results of her appointment.

Yes, I will, Jane.  She has two appointments on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday.

I am encouraging her to drink cranberry juice and take cranberry capsules, it seems to help some.  My problem is in trying not to worry so, and let go and let God!  We never stop being Moms, do we?

No, we don't, Janet!  We're always "Mums"!  I took some cranberry capsules on the trip west when I felt there was a problem and they helped.  I do hope that she will try this.

Janet, sorry to hear about Beth and her now problem.  With all of my urinary/bladder problems, I have never had problems voiding.  Well, I have...but mine is voiding too often and needing to void NOW!!!  Janet, I will continue sending prayers heavenward for Beth and your family.

Okay... It will be added prayers on Tuesday and Wednesday.  

Beth and your whole family remain in my prayers.

I do understand Beth's problem - I was unable to void at all last winter, fortunately only for a short time.  They decided my problem was "gravel" (as opposed to a stone), but the feeling of needing to "go" and not be able to is just awful.

Beth's problem stems from NOT drinking enough water! (She should listen to her mother more!  )  The urologist examined her, and she has no neuros, nor other abnormalities at all in her bladder.  Great news!  He does want to do another test of some kind next month, but in the meantime, drink LOTS and LOTS of WATER!!

Her other appointment was cancelled because the machine needed to do it is broken.

Janet, that is indeed good news.  Beth certainly doesn't need more problems and water is cheap.  

I'm three days behind again but I add my thanks for the simple solution to Beth's problem.  

Beth is to go into Amarillo in the next few weeks for nerve conduction tests on her lower legs and feet to see if they can tell why she cannot feel her feet most of the time.  They were to do it on our last trip down there, but their machine broke.

I'm praying the machine is fixed and stays that way!  Also that they will be able to help Beth with this difficulty.

Beth got bad news this week.  Her Social Security Disability has been denied.  How they think she can work in her condition is more than I can understand, but I hear that it is almost routine for every application to be denied the first time around.  This will make it even harder on Beth, as she has no income, and now will have to hire a lawyer to help her get her benefits.  Then if and when he is successful, he will get a chunk of it.

Please continue to pray for her.  She is becoming discouraged, and I sure don't want her to get depressed.  Life is hard enough when we keep a good outlook!

Still praying, dear JANET. I also have heard that almost always your benefits are denied the first time around.  I don't have a clue why!  Obviously you need it or you wouldn't apply.    Anyway, I know things will all work out perfectly in line with our Father's plans and purposes for Beth and all concerned.  Hang in there.  God is still on the throne!

Father, I pray that Beth's reapplication will be speedily processed and favorably dealt with.  Oh move those people through our Lord Jesus Christ, Father.

This is in deed terrible.  But I've heard up here too that it's denied the first time.  

Janet she doesn't need a lawyer for the first appeal or the second appeal if it is denied again only after the second appeal does she need an attorney.

Janet, sorry to hear of the denial and she certainly needs to appeal.  My wife found a lot of information on the Internet about that process so Beth might do some searching to see if there is information that is useful.  

My wife applied several weeks before Beth did, I believe, and she still hasn't heard anything.  In Georgia, the applications go to a State agency for determination.  As she is eligible for SS now she did get her first regular check this past Wednesday.

Janet, if Beth finds she does need a lawyer, she might want to look into getting a Public Defender.  

My prayers are with all of you and especially Beth.  My sister had to wait almost 2 years before they accepted her.  It was awfully hard on her as she had a teenager and was a single mom.  I pray Beth will get hers after the second try.

Janet, Beth has been through soooo much.  I will continue to pray.
