Beth went to see the endocrinologist yesterday, and he is 99 99/100% sure she has thyroid cancer.  She will go for a biopsy on May 19th, and then they will remove it, whether or not it is cancerous, a couple of days later.

And when she stopped by to see her sister Diane today on her way home, Diane noticed that when Beth was talking and laughing, the whole right side of her mouth just drooped.  So she came over when she got home, and I noticed it, too!  So it appears she has suffered a stroke, or possibly has Bell's Palsy.  I am just so upset about this I don't know what to think!  Beth has had MORE than her share already.

Anyway, please pray in faith for Beth's total healing.  This distressed Mom will appreciate it so much.  I was so hoping she was on her way to a full recovery and a return to work.

Dear Distressed Mom ... I know--oh so well--how you must be feeling, and I can certainly empathize with your concerns.  
We serve a Mighty God, and I know He hears and answers prayers.  This is small solace at the moment, I know, but you can be assured I am praying for Beth as well as for her mother and the rest of the family.  

Father, please hold them in your arms and calm the palpitating hearts and assuage all fear.  You can bring about YOUR WILL in all of us, as we learn to surrender to your control.  Give Janet peace right now, and sweet rest in YOU. Teach us to trust You in all things.  

I echo Jane's prayer, Janet.  I'm so sorry about this news.

I'll be praying for you for sure and for Beth.

Our Dear Father, I come to you with a heavy heart, Our sister is in desperate need of your healing touch. Father I ask you now to cut off all blood supply to that cancerous? growth on Beths thyroid, Burn it out at the root, It is written that by your stripes she was healed, I am calling on you Father to watch over your word to perform it. It is also written that Your word does not return to you void. You are not a man that you should lie, you are Jehovah Rapha, you said that you are the God who healeth thee. She needs your healing power to go through her from the top of her head to the souls of her feet. Send your healing virtue through her right now Father. And in the name of Jesus I speak to that spirit of cancer and in the name of Jesus I bind you and command you to leave for it is written that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and at the name of Jesus you have to flee. So get out of her now.I proclaim her healing now. Amen.

We are here with you.....holding you, praying for and with you, feeling your heart.  

My prayers and love are with you all, Janet.

As a mom whose oldest child experiences all sorts of terrible health problems, I know the agony of spirit you're undergoing.

And, I can empathize with how deeply this is affecting Beth. I've faced biopsies, surgeries, and tests several times when the expected result was cancer, so I know first hand her fears, the emotional turmoil, the agony of waiting...I've been there.

I'll be supporting y'all in prayer daily.

Janet ~ I agree with the prayers already said and I will certainly keep Beth in my prayers!

The scripture about that he doesn't give us more than we can endure comes to mind when I read about Beth.  He will give her strength and all her family strength to endure whatever she is facing.  I agree with all the above prayers and thought.  God be with all of you.

How devastating for the family as a whole.  As you say, Beth has had an awful lot to endure.  

We know from scripture that His grace is sufficient for us no matter what situation we have to go through.  No matter how fierce the battle, we are on the Victor's side.

Janet, I am so sorry to read of these new problems for Beth and for your family.  I say amen to the above prayers and will certainly be keeping Beth and all of your family in my prayers.

Oh, Janet!  How your heart must be breaking.  

Gene and I will be praying, too, for Beth's healing and for strength, comfort and peace for all of you.  

I, too, will be praying for Beth and for all of you as you experience still another trial in her life.  Please keep us updated on how things are.  You and your family are special the CP.

Oh Father, I pray for Janet and Beth.  I pray You'll grant them peace and comfort in Your Sovereignty over all things and Your infinite wisdom in dealing with each of us.  And Father, You know our hearts - I also pray You'll heal Beth of whatever this is.  Oh do these things, Father, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We spoke to Beth's Neurologist today, and he thinks the problem with her mouth is probably Bell's Palsy.  We have an appointment in Guymon tomorrow with her Primary care doctor to see what needs done about this.

I appreciate all your prayers so very much.  I am feeling kind of numb, but trusting our loving Savior to see us through this to victory.

Janet I am continuing  to pray my faith filled prayers for beth. Please let her know that I will continue to hold her up before the Lord until those good reports come through. And that we Love Her.

The diagnosis is Bell's Palsy.  They say it is caused by one of the family of viruses which cause chicken pox, fever blisters and shingles.  Beth is on three prescriptions, and they hope it will clear up in 3 to 4 weeks.

Oh, please do continue to pray and thank God for healing Beth, and that the healing will be manifested soon in her body.  The Bell's Palsy isn't that bad, but none of likes to hear that word "cancer!" so she still has great need of prayer!

Wow!  That's great news about the prescription, Janet!  Several of my friends are praying for Beth and praying for you too that you'll have the strength to go on day by day as you deal with this.

It is nice to see God's love demonstrated to us while we are in such trying circumstances.  Praise God for providing this free prescription.  It is a strong reminder that God is very much involved with Beth and the family at this time.  Just to say amen to all of the prayers that are being offered up for you all.

I would tend to agree with Anthony that the free prescription is intended as God's assurance that He loves you both.

I do know that God loves us, that's what enables me (and Beth) to keep going!  Thanks.

Janet, although of course the need for prayer continues, there are two wonderful proofs of God's love and mercy - that it's Bells Palsy and not a stroke, and the miracle of a free prescription.

True, Jeanne!  As I heard Shirley Dobson say yesterday on the National Day of Prayer program........"Sometimes, God just blows you a kiss!"  He is so good.......all the time!
