Hi Janet and Beth.  I am still praying.  I am so glad the prayers are being answered.  Some slower then others but they are being answered.
Thanks for keeping us informed, Janet.

What a trying time for both, Beth and you.  My prayers are going heavenward for all concerned in the prognosis and care of Beth.

Thanks so much.  I do have a little information to add now.  I called Charlotte at the SS Office on Thursday, and she said Beth should be getting her first check by June 23.  She said the lump sum payment for the back months may arrive any time.  So that will be such a relief for her to have some money again.

I was going to comment that 'way back when my hubby died, we waited almost 3 months to the day to get the SS check started, then the "lump sum" payments came in dabs after that.

What great news, Janet! 

Janet, at least you have an indication that the paperwork hasn't been lost in the system.  So glad that the end is in site over this matter.

Charlotte said the hold up was because they thought Beth was getting Workmen's  Comp.  She hasn't and isn't.  So she sent a statement for Beth to sign stating that.

She said Beth will be eligible for Medicare two years after becoming disabled, which is really good news because she will lose her insurance in October of next year, after they gave her a year's extension on that, so she will be covered in the interim.

Thank You, Father, for causing this whole situation to begin to be cleared up.  I pray You'll supply Beth's every need, and I pray You'll just fill Beth and Janet with joy because of Your care through our Lord.

AMEN to Al's prayer.  I am so glad things are FINALLY getting done as I know Beth & Janet have really been put through so much.  Praise God!

Oh Janet.... FINALLY some encouraging news!  As Larry stated, at least the paperwork hasn't been lost!

Just keep "bugging" them, Janet., it sounds like "Charlotte" knows of who you are, and thats good.  Whenever I need to call government offices, banks, or anything important, I ALWAYS get the person's name that I'm talking to.

Please let us know when Beth finally does get some money.....we will thank the Lord along with you!  I have been praying for Beth for a long time., and will continue!!

Janet, I'm glad the latest news is encouraging.  This is a reminder that God is never early, and He's also never late in answering our prayers.  His timing, although we don't always understand it, is always perfect.

Beth got her lump sum payment, and her first Social Security check has also arrived!!!   And............(drum roll!!)  she also got a Medicare card, which becomes effective on August first!  This is a tremendous blessing because her appointment with the specialist in Lubbock is on August 3rd!  Does God have perfect timing?  I'll say He does!

Praise Him with us for these answers to all your prayers and ours!  And thank you again for being faithful to stand with us for the answers!  We love you all.[/b]

Janet - please tell Beth that I am just so thrilled for her.  I have many sleepless nights as you know., (such as last night)., and when I "am blessed with those".... I remember to pray for friends of mine who suffer with chronic pain, such as mine.

A night like that never goes by, that I don't pray for Beth!

Just so you know that  I  has  read all these prayers and want you to  know that I too am praying for all this and that I am so glad to see Gods helping hand here as it is in all things.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!  Beth will be flying into Dodge City on Saturday, then we begin the process of dr. visits, etc. again, in hopes of getting some relief from the pain and some increased mobility for her.

My vacation is over! 

Janet, this will certainly be a lift for Beth (and for you all).  Persistence pays off.

I'm so very sorry to read in today's New Every Morning, Janet, that Beth is going downhill.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you each day.

This has to be such a hard time for you.

I will continue to persist in prayer for Beth.

My daughter-in-law is having major surgery that day., so I'll be sure to add Janet at the same time.
