This morning at Lipscomb during our second presentation Cornelia suddenly felt ill and said call 911 then sat down and and then collapsed. We got her from the chair to the floor. The anbulance got there right away. They took her directly to the Cath Lab. She had a massive heart attack. They removed a blood clot and put in two stents. She will be in Intensive Care tonight and if things go well maybe in three or four days will be able to come home. The doctor explained to me that there was a lot of heart damage but she could get well but would have to really take it easy.  I know you will pray for her.  Thank you for your prayers.

I know God is looking out for you and Cornelia but I want you to know that I am praying He bestows extra special mercy and healing to Cornelia and grant you both peace that passes all understanding in the face of this latest development.  We know God does all things well and this, too, will be well ....... Dear Papa John I am praying for  Cornelia and you too. God is in control and He knows her need.

I agree with all the posted thoughts and prayers.  Our God is such a good Father.  He knows the hearts of His children, and allows us to live in His. I know whatever is going on tonight with Cornelia and John,  They are safe in His care.

  Thank you, Lord, for the assurance that all is well.  No one can remove us from Your Hand or Your Heart.  I know You are with them, Father, and I'm just so honored that we can be there in spirit, to come along beside and pray.  We love you so much.  amen

Papa John, I am also praying for Cornelia and you and for all of your loving family as I know you all are very concerned for her.  It does sound like you got an encouraging report from the doctor.

I just thought I'd stop by to see if there is any news on dear Cornelia.

I posted this on NEM and thought I should put it here too.

We have been at the hospital all day. She seemed to be making progress until this afternoon when he had some kind of arrhythmia. The Cardiologist was called in and after awhile they got it under control. Anyway she remains in Critical Care Unit tonight.

I want to thank you all for your prayers.  It was so nice to read all your posts and to know I have Christian friends from all over praying for Cornelia.  I am at home now and plan to go to early service at church in the morning before going to the hospital.  I know you will continue to pray.  God is good whatever happens.  We have had 56 wonderful years together and God willing we will have some more yet.  I will plan to report back again tomorrow night.

Marilyn, thank you for trying to call.  I just haven't been here all day.

Papa John, I too am praying.  Such a trying time for you.

I just received a Skype call from Papa John. Cornelia had another Heart attack last night. She is back in the hospital and was unconscious until today. Last night the Doctors  thought it was almost hopeless for her to recover. However today she seemed a little stronger, regained consciousness, opened her eyes and smiled. I spoke first with his daughter and then when he had composed himself a little more Papajohn himself spoke with me.

Marilyn, thanks for posting your information.  Poor Papa John.  We'll keep praying. 

PapaJohn, My heart and prayesr go out to you.  I can fully understand your pain, anguish and tears.  9 years ago today I lost my first husband to a heart attack.

Dear Papa John ... I am so sorry to learn of Cornelia's recent setback...    I am continuing in prayer for you both. 

Father, thank You for  being our heavenly Father.  There's no other like You.  Your love is adequate in EVERY situation, even this one faced by our Papa John.  Oh make it manifest, Father.  Grant to Cornelia Your peace and even joy.  Grant to Papa John Your peace and a full awareness of Your Presence with Him.  Oh Father, he has blessed us, and now I pray You will bless him at this critical time through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father we ask for your special touch on Cornelia tonight surround her with your Holy Spirit and give her your comfort and peace. Give wisdom and skill for all the doctors and tech people that are looking after her. Keep her safe and we pray for protection around her so that no harm will come to her. Give John comfort and peace in his heart to know that you are in control at all times.

My prayer is that you will be aware of the warmth and love of our Heavenly Father as you snuggle down in the hollow of His wonderful hands.  What a lovely place to be--kept by Him.

We love you so much and we are remembering you constantly.

PapaJohn, please know that you and Cornelia are in my thoughts and prayers, and we are all right with you at this time.

We do hope that your wife is able to make a full recovery. Our hearts are with you both at these troubled times. May the love of god be with you and your wife. This is a lesson for us all, our partners are'nt able to always be by our side. les
