Hi everyone... I'm finding it difficult to get the words out, but I need your prayers:

I've just finished a chat on MSN Messenger with my uncle back home in Canada, and he's told me that my cousin's boyfriend Pierre has been diagnosed with flesh-eating disease.

It strikes quickly and can kill easily, and amputation is often required.  He was diagnosed on Wednesday, and it has attacked his right arm.

He is off the critical list for the time being, but is in isolation.  His arm is open, as the disease does not like the open air, and for the moment his prognosis is good, but that can change suddenly and without warning.

Please pray for him and for my cousin Kathy, and for all of us who love them.

Anna, that is terrible and must be so frightening for all involved.  I will pray for him that he will be healed.

Anna, thanks so much for posting this request here.  There are many folks here on this site that truly believe in prayer and I, for one, will be remembering your cousin in prayer at this time.  What a horrible malady! 

How scary.  Yes, Anna I will pray for his health and strength and for all those around him that love him to help keep his spirits up.

O Father, I pray for Piere.  I pray. Father, that You will even bless this to him in some way, causing it to bring about some great good.  And I pray You'll comfort him.  I pray You'll move him by Your Spirit to call on You in the midst of this malady, and that he'll find in You all he needs through Jesus our Lord.

Anna - I have a very good friend who contracted that disease, and, praise God for His grace and mercy, overcame it.  It's been a couple of years that he's been over it now.  I know your cousin's in good hands.

I've not had an update on Pierre's condition, but I will be sure to let you know when I do.

We've had the most wonderful news today... Pierre is HOME from the hospital!

We are so very, very thankful and so happy.  Words cannot express how much all your kind thoughts and words and prayers have meant.
