Please keep the family of a friend of mine in your prayers over the next little bit. Her father (his name is Chuck) was diagnosed early in June with a brain tumor. The doctors at the time said that if left untreated he would have 6 months. If he went through treatment he would have up to 2 years. It has been 6 weeks and the doctors are now saying there is nothing more they can do.
Chuck is born again, as is the entire family. He's in his early 70's. But even knowing all of this, my heart is breaking for the family. I'm not sure how I would feel if it were my dad, or my husband.
I am personally praying for God's will to be done and peace for the family members. They are willing to let him go if that is what they feel God is asking them to do, but they don't want to. Which is totally understandable in my mind.
Thank you for your prayers for the family, I will keep you up dated as I am able to.
Heather
You know I am praying.
Praying here!
Heather, my prayer echos yours - God's perfect will, and His peace for the family in accepting that Divine Will.
Thank you everyone.
Update about my friends dad ...
God has spoken and He's given Momma a VERY REAL peace about what we need to do. We've decided as a family to unhook Daddy and let God make His choice. Please pray for us in the days ahead as we will SO desperately need those prayers. Hugs are also welcome.
We love you all. Thanks for standing by us during this... ya know, DIFFICULT just doesn't quite cover it... time.

I have never before wanted to be in Michigan so bad! Let's keep them upheld in prayer. I'm praying through the tears.
Father, thank You for Chuck's presence with his family and friends during these years. I do pray You'll give him grace to trust in You at this time, and give the same grace to his family through our Lord Jesus Christ.
First off, i would like to thank you all for your prayers. Second, Chuck has been given the priviledge of hugging 2 grandchildren he never met, with a perfectly healed body. He made the trip home at 7:45 this evening after saying goodbye to all of his family, who were all at his side. Please continue to pray for as they begin the journey through the next number of difficult days. My heart is breaking for my friend. My heart rejoices for Chuck.
Heather thank you for letting us know. I will, of course, be praying for peace and comfort for the family.
The family has made it through the funeral. My friend is asking for continued prayer. She feels once the shock wears off, and everyone starts to really have it sink in that their husband, father, grandfather is really gone, they are going to need the prayers more than ever.
Please keep them all in prayer. My friend is someone who prayed for me for years, while I was going through my challenges and trials, and now this is my way of returning the favor for her, by getting all the prayer warriors I know praying for her and her family.
My thanks
Heather I am praying as I type this and will continue to pray for your friends.
I will continue to pray also.
