Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

My granddaughter, Angel, is in the hospital with something wrong with her blood.  They know she has Sepsis and Staph, but feel there is more and are testing.

The results should come back today sometime.

Please pray for her and us as you remember, and always, always, that God receive all the glory and satan have not one ounce of satisfaction in any of it.

Thank you so much.  Nita

Nita, I am praying for your granddaughter.  I hope they soon find out what the problems are and can quickly treat them.

Nita, you know I have been, and am praying for Angel ... and you, as well.  This has to be a very stressful time for all concerned.   <3

Praying here in the north Nita.  How old is she?

Jane Walker

I'm not Nita (obviously  ;) ), but Angel is 19 and the mother of 1 yr old Maycie ... Nita's great granddaughter.

Hi, again.  I've gotten word, from Angel's boyfriend, and her mom, Kim (my daughter) that Angel's blood platelets have risen from below 1000 to 'in the high thousands'.  I think up in the very high thousands (150,00?) is considered normal but she isn't there yet.  But the fact that the numbers are rising is great!

For sure........and I'm so thanking our Lord.....if she hadn't gone into the hospital the afternoon she did, and if they hadn't done the blood tests and started her on the broad spectrum antibiotics that moment, she wouldn't have made it to the next day.  That's how bad she was.  The doctor made sure kim knew that.  God orchestrated every last detail.

Two tests have come back negative.  I'm not sure what they were checking for, but the doctor told Kim that he couldn't trust the negative outcome since she had already been on antibiotics when the tests were given, and that would have effected the outcome.  I guess they'll do more at another time.

As of now, there is a strong possibility she can go home tomorrow!!!  He still doesn't know where the Staph infection came from, but the antibiotic got a quick start on that and the Sepsis.

God knew all about it. :)  Thank you for your prayers.  You forget how much they mean until you come into a situation where your children or loved ones are sick.

I know we are prayers here in CP, and every need we "voice" to other believers here, will brought before God in all sincerity.  Thank you again.

Absolutely wonderful news, Nita ... From being so seriously ill to possibly going home tomorrow!!!  That's God for sure!   <3

It really is, Jane. :)  Even when the doctor kept telling Kim it was "serious", I couldn't wrap my head around that.  I just keep thanking God that He is in control of everything.

Nita, I commented elsewhere (in my own struggle) that deciding to have children is making a decision to have your heart walking around outside your body for the rest of your life.  That is how it feels sometimes.  My prayers are with you for your grandaughter and for the family as they struggle.

Grace and peace to you,
Becky

Angel came home for the hospital today.  She is loaded up with antibiotics and will be one them for another 8 days I guess.  She knows to eat yogurt..Activia is her favorite.

She looks better than I've seen her in a couple of months.  Bless her heart.  She is still tired, but that'll pass.  She didn't take Maycie with her today, and I didn't expect she would.  I was SO happy that Maycie was excited to see her mama, gave her kisses and hugs.  I know that did Angel's heart good...just seeing her little "doodle".   I think she'll go home tomorrow if Angel does ok tonight.

Thank you for your prayers.  I know God hears.   Angel went from almost dying to well enough to go home in 3 days.  No one can tell me the antibiotic did it so well. :)  I praise God for Antibiotics, and the wisdom He gave someone to find them, but God does what man cannot do, according to His will.   Thank you, Father.

JudyB

So much for someone so young to have to deal with.  I didn't thank you Jane for her age.  Thank you.  I am continuing to pray.

Hi Nita,
God is Good!  He is our healer!  I am so happy to hear that Angel is doing so much better.  The antibiotics are great, but God is so much greater!
Father God,
We praise you and give you glory and thank you for bringing Angel back on the pathway to health.  Please continue restoring her body and let her recover without complications.  We thank you and give you praise.  In Jesus' name, Amen.
