Title: Janet's Husband Darrel
Post by: JudyB on January 08, 2013, 01:01:02 AM
Janet has asked for prayer for Darrel.

QuoteJust a short note tonight to ask for prayers for Darrel, as we go to Amarillo tomorrow to see about his heart.

Also we need to be praying for journey safety as they travel this could be a 1 - 3 day stay in Amarillo, depending on what needs to be done.  Pray with us that there is no major problem that would extend their stay, and a healthy result dor Darrel.

An update on Janet's husband;

QuoteHow a day changes things!  After deciding to just bypass that doctor in Amarillo and start over, the nurse called this afternoon to say they have scheduled Darrel for a heart cath in the BSA hospital in Amarillo on Friday morning!  So we will be going down tomorrow.  I called and cancelled his appointment with our doctor and told them we will re-schedule, as we still want to find a doctor here.  So if you friends would pray for safe travels and a good result for Darrel, I will really appreciate it.  Thanks.

I imagine he's had more than one of the heart cath procedures - I've had two. Each time as the warmth of the medicine moves through my body, and I can feel it warming each limb as He has planned, then the verse David wrote, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made," springs into my mind. How great is God!!

We'll await further news, Janet, and rest assured we're praying for y'all.

Ruth Ann, the last few heart caths that I have had I have little recollection of as they use a drug that keeps you from remembering the procedure.  I think I have been in the cath lab about 30 times so know the routine pretty well and it has gotten better over the years.

I pray for Darrel that the procedure showed the problem and that it could be addressed so he can resume his regular life.  Janet, you are very important to his recovery as well as a wife is great comfort in stressful times.

Janet, I have been praying, as I'm sure you know, for Darrel and you - always, but especially yesterday.  I'll be waiting and watching for news of the results of the cath procedure.

Janet, I just found your request for prayer for Darrel.  I'm getting off here and praying now and will continue.

I haven't been visiting CP in awhile, and had forgotten how your posts are always in blue.  I always knew it was you. :)

From Janet

QuoteDarrel and I went to Amarillo on Thursday and he had the heart cath on Friday, home by 11 Friday night.  We are really disgusted with that doctor, and do not plan to go back.  Will get our family doctor to refer Darrel to a heart doctor in Garden City.  Results:  Found one artery 30% blocked, another 40% blocked, didn't do anything about it.
