Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Dear All,

Audra is home and we are pleased with the results, Doctor said he has done enough of these to believe he has gotten of and the the cancer cells.

And that of course he didn't have the pathology report but he felt very good, about the surgery,

Surgery went rough, Audras blood presure dropped done so low they though they were losing her, but all she was well taken , and it did come up enough to finish the surgery, It should have been a few hours and eneded up 5, Again, as long as its all gone, whats a few extra of doing a great job, We have so much love for Dr. racine, he has been Audras dr for 6 plus years.

Thank you all, for your loving kin
She is down now for 6 weeks, but I will be here for a few of them to take care of all.

I will try to keep in touch ,

Blessings to all, Alma

Thank you, Alma, for this great report.  Praise God for His loving care.  I have been wondering how things were going with Audra -- and you.  Don't forget to take care of yourself while you are taking care of everyone else.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Nita

Alma, thanks for letting us know.

I agree with Jane, somewhere in taking care of your daughter, take care of yourself.  Blessings,  Nita

Dear Alma,

I just read all your postings and was touched by your transparency in sharing this struggle of your daughter's with us all.  This kind of trust - in God - is an enormous advantage for Christians - one denied in this evil world.  My prayer is that all has healed since your last post in March.  By "all" I mean your heart as well as your daughter's body and Spirit and her husband's hope.

As I hear no mention of your husband I assume you are alone for whatever reason.  Praying God has provided a local Christian support (church family?) for you all.

When I struggled with similar situations in the past I turned to the Word and found comfort as you have, I'm sure.

...we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose - gave me hope for the things out of my control and brought peace to my family.  Good or bad, He had a plan for us and we should rest in that plan, revealed or not.  20/20 hindsight confirmed this for many years.

Then, as I grew in Him I realized the critical nature of context in comprehending Holy Writ.  Romans 8:28 begins with the word "And."  Paul is famous for long interconnected sentences so we go back to verse 26 to find:

"...the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He (Jesus) who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He (the Holy Spirit) makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."  Romans 8:26-28  NKJV

Obviously all of chapters 7,8,9 may be connected this way, but you have to stop somewhere.

My point is that as we pray for situations like yours, depression and frustration may cause us to be resigned and give up asking God for our desires because Jesus prayed "Not my will, but thine be done."  (Knowing God's will is problematic at best.)  "Thy will be done," becomes a cop out and we worry what He will do.  Pessimistic prayer is no prayer at all.

However, when we pray with/through/by the Holy Spirit, he always intercedes in accordance with God's will and then "we know all things work together for good..."

My prayer life changed radically after this understanding and I was at peace with His Will.  My weakness became His strength and I could rest in Him.

As your family recovers, I will pray for a "peace, perfect peace," for you all.  Great hymn too.

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."  John 5:24 NKJV
