I have a couple of prayer requests that I thought I would pass on - the more people praying, the better.
My brother-in-law has just had surgery last week for glaucoma in his eye. When he was checked today, they found that he has no pressure in his eye ... so is in serious risk of losing what little sight he has in that eye. His other eye isn't very good either. The Doctor has adjusted the drops he is getting, and he will be going back to the Dr on Thursday.
At the same time, my Dad will be having surgery on Wednesday for a hernia, and to put a tube in for dialysis - the type he can do at home by himself. He has already had surgery for one hernia in preparation for this surgery. He would appreciate prayer.
Thanks for praying,
Betty
I'll be praying for your requests Betty. :)
Your family will be remembered in my prayers also.
Betty, thank you for bringing these needs to us. I am adding your dad and your brother-in-law to my prayer list, asking that they receive comfort and peace from our Father and that the doctors be given wisdom a knowledge in treating them.
Betty will your Dad be in North Bay? If so and you are there I will come and see you both. Let him know we are praying.
Hi Betty. I will be praying for your brother-in-law and your father.
Thank you for sharing these concerns.
Bonnie
Thank you to those who are praying. My Dad came through his surgery okay, and is back home with my sister who is staying with him for a few days. We are planning to go up to visit this weekend and help out a bit.
My brother-in-law goes tomorrow to have his eye checked. I have been praying that God will give them peace and comfort through this time, and that my brother-in-law's eye will be better.
Thanks for the update Betty. Will continue praying here. :)
Thanks again to everyone who has been praying.
My brother-in-law goes tomorrow to Sunnybrook to have his eye looked at again, and possibly more surgery. He is still not seeing much through it.
We will be taking my father to North Bay on Thursday to the kidney clinic to have the dialysis tube flushed out. He has come through the surgery fairly well, but of course, is very tired. Hopefully the incisions are healing up and the tube will work okay for him. My request for prayer is for him to have peace, and to feel God's comfort as he is learning to deal with the dialysis.
We were up to my Dad's on the weekend with another of my sisters and I had to take her to the hospital during the night due to her blood pressure being sky high. She is now on blood pressure medication, but it wasn't a very easy night.
I'm glad that God is in control through all of these things.
I'm continuing to pray for you and your family, during this time.
Continuing to pray for your family.
My Dad had his checkup to see how the incisions are doing, and so far they are healing quite nicely. They flushed the tube, and put another dressing on everything again. We take him up on Tuesday to have it checked again and for them to teach us more about the peritoneal dialysis. I think we're all learning a lot.
My brother-in-law saw the doctor at Sunnybrook again last Wednesday. His eye still did not have any pressure in it. The doctor took some blood from him, and put it into his eye. If his eye had collapsed because it didn't have any pressure in it, the doctor would have put gel into his eye. He goes back down next Friday.
Thanks for your prayers
good news about your Dad. WE will be in NBay on Tuesday. Any chance of meeting up? IM me if it would be possible. I will continue to pray!
I am sorry about your BIL's eye I will continue to pray.
