Pat and Paul were to visit Paul's sister-in-law, Lorraine, yesterday. She has been diagnosed with Cancer.
Please pray for her as well as the rest of the family. Pat and Paul covet your prayers on their behalf.
Judy, thanks for relaying that message from Pat and Paul. Of course, I'm offering prayers on behalf of Lorraine as well as the family.
I very heatily echo Jeanne's prayer, Father. Amen.
Prayers for Lorraine and all of the family.
I am also praying for Lorraine and for all the family.
I'll be praying also
Don
Me, too.
My prayers go to the family as well
Just an update and THANKS Judy for putting this in for us while we were away from the internet.
Lorraine is married to Paul's brother,Rolf and is a lovely Christian lady. This has really hit hard.
She has bladder cancer and they are going to try a treatment for it first using the TB germ. She will have five (or maybe six) treatments a week apart to try to kill the three patches of cancer. This treatment has a 70% success rate but on the downside is the fact that she could contract TB.
So, Lorraine's first treatment will be this week on Thursday here in Virginia and she is really happy to know of all of your prayers on her behalf.
We will copy and paste all of the messages in here for her as she's on dialup and the internet is so very slow so she doesn't try to get online much.
God bless you all.
(This is difficult news since we (Judy and I) just lost our brother to bladder cancer last year)
Pat: I am so glad that you and Paul have each other to lean on and your firm faith will bring you through this crises. Peace be with you.
Carol and all - I just called Lorraine and read all the posts to her and She and Rolf, my brother, convey a huge thank you to all of you!! She is totally trusting the Lord in everything and all of your prayers are such an encouragement to both she and Rolf.
Paul, thank you for helping us keep in touch with Lorraine. Praying for her, and for Rolf and for all the family seems such a small thing in comparison with what she is going through. But putting her in Jesus' hands is as large and as important as anything the wisest doctors can offer.
As you know I am continuing to pray. It was good talking to you Pat. Paul I understand your heartache. Both of you know you as well are being prayed for. Lovce to you both.
Thank you for the updates - still praying for Lorraine and the entire family.
We have been speaking to Lorraine a few times and she's had two of her treatments. She has no reaction whatsoever to them so we are just now praying that they will work.
She's actually being treated with the TB germ and they are inserted into her bladder at the hospital and she has to have them in there for two hours. On the trip home from the hospital, she has to keep changing her position so that they are moved all around the bladder during the journey.
She will miss this next week's treatment as they are going down to Florida to get their home there ready for sale and then she will resume them down there in two weeks for four weeks.
She's very thankful for your prayers.
That's a treatment I've never heard of before. Is it something new? Amazing what they can do now.
If you search BCG treatment for bladder cancer, you'll find lots of articles. I never heard of it before either.

Judy, I want to let you know that my wife and I spent from 10 am till 2 pm today at our church and along with thousands of others across the nation laying hands on and praying for healing for people who came by just to be prayed for. God honored their efforts and used our willingness to heal many people today. We personally saw deaf ears opened, arthritic fingers and knees healed, backs and legs straightened and pain free. Cancer is just a name and Jesus is the name above all names. In Jesus' name Lorraine is healed!
Pat and Paul will read this and pass it on to Lorraine. Thank you!
Healing Prayers for Pat's sister-in-law and the family.
Update on Lorraine's condition. Just this last week after completing the TB treatment, she went in for the biopsy results and the doctor announced to her that he had a very nice Christmas present for her. Her bladder cancer is gone and no traces remained. To say the least, Lorraine is in the rejoicing mode and praising God for all He has done along with the family. Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)
We can all praise God for answered prayer!
YEA!!!!
Paul, that news is wonderful and we must indeed praise our loving Father for this answer to our prayers. Thank you for letting us know.
I was speaking to Lorraine on the telephone and yes, she's pretty happy about this news. She has another appointment in three months with the oncologist and we must continue to pray that nothing will be found at that time.
What a wonderful Saviour we have. He DOES hear our prayers!
PRAISE GOD!!!
Lorraine had a CT scan last week and on Monday, the doctor telephoned her and said that he had the results but wanted to see her. So yesterday, they made the trip (1 3/4 hr.) to Richmond to see the doctor.
He told her that her organs were generally good and no cancer was found in pancreas, liver, etc. but the wall of the bladder showed a "thickening" which isn't considered good news at all.
So, after much discussion and planning, she will have Pre-Op on Sept. 9 and the bladder will be removed on Sept. 21.
Please pray for Lorraine and Rolf as they digest this news. Her desire is that she will have peace about what is going to happen.
Pat, I am, and will continue, praying for Lorraine that she will feel the perfect peace and comfort of the arms of Jesus. Also, that the doctors will receive knowledge and wisdom in treating her.
Thanks Jeanne...
I will pray for those things too.
Thanks everyone, for your prayers.
