Would you please pray for my father in law, J.W?  He will be having Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair surgery Wednesday July 15th.  This is a serious operation, they say, and he will have to stay in the hospital for a few days if it goes well.  He is still hanging in there after his heart surgery from a few years back, but this new problem has slowed him down a bit.  Thanks, Samantha

Father wrap your arms around J W and let him feel your presence.  Give him your peace.  Guide the doctors as they prepare for surgery and when they operate.  Help us to remember that you are in control and will work everything out to Your Glory.

Well, JW's surgery was cancelled until? Because of a shortage of blood donors.

He is also has something strange with his blood which makes it difficult to find a match.  This is what my mother  in law sent out to us explaining it.

Let me explain further about the A+ Blood. Jw's Blood has a negative antigen, so he cannot take A+ blood if it is positive for that antigen. So far their blood in the blood bank all has the positive antigen and that is why JW has to wait them getting the blood without the + antigen, Blood can be A+ or A - or O - any that screened will be - for the certain antigen.

I appreciate all the prayers already sent out on his behalf and will let you know when or if its rescheduled.

OK Samantha I am continuing to pray.

Oh Father, I pray You'll bring about an adequate supply of that type blood quickly.  And Oh, Father, grant peace to JW and Samantha - enable them to trust in Your love through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I come to you dear God Almighty and pray for JW and his family to give them strength and that they will receive your healing as promised through Jesus Christ our Lord, Saviour and Healer...In Jesus name you say to ask, believe and that we believe we shall receive. We Thank you Lord!!!

My father in laws surgery has been rescheduled.  This is the post my mother in law has on Facebook.

JW's surgery re-scheduled for Wednesday July 22, 2009. He will have extra surgery due to another blocked femoral artery. May even have FEM-POP bypass along with EVAR stent-graft of AAA. Please remember him in prayer.


She's a registered nurse and forgets that us commom folks dont understand some of that!

Surgery is scheduled to start at 7:00 am Central time Wednesday

Father, I pray You'll give those doctors extra-special insight and wisdom, that their skill will be enhanced, and that You'll bring all that to bear in JWs surgery, that it may be done very, very well.  And then I pray You'll grant him quick and comfortable healing - through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I'll be praying tomorrow, Samantha .... that'd be 6 a.m. here on the Oregon coast.

Amen to Al's prayer, and I too here in N. Ontario will be praying. 

Thank y'all so much for the prayers!  The surgery went well, took about 3 1/2 hrs.  Recovery has been as well as expected, and we are awaiting release from hospital today.  Keep remembering him as his body continues to heal from this.
