Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Zachery is finally going to get 1/3 of his small intestine removed with some of his colon.  They won't know for sure how much or what all will take place until they get in there.  There are two doctors working over him to make sure everything goes well.

Surgery begins 1:00 pm January 2nd.  Please keep this young man in your prayers.

Thanks so much!
Lots of hugs to everyone!

Soni I am praying right now for Zachery and have put it on my calender to pray on Wednesday.

Father, I pray You'll give the doctors special wisdom and skill when they operate, and grant that they may know to do just the right things for Zachery for his maximum benefit.  And, Father, I pray You'll bring about some good things through this entire experience  that will produce lasting glory to Your Name and Zach's health.  Oh do these things through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jane Walker

Thanks, Soni, for letting us know about Zach's surgery.  I echo Al's prayer for this young man.  I pray he will, at last, know relief from all he has endured for so long.

I pray for peace for his Mom, too.   <3

Yes.  I agree with the prayers already spoken.  As Jane said, he has endured this for so long.  It's time, Lord. :)   Nita

This is from Soni, on the dpc forum.  Apparently, she is having trouble logging in from the hospital.

from sonifo:
You guys don't know how much this means to me. The closer I get to the time of surgery the more scared i get.

Zachery didn't do to well with the fleet he had to take to get everything out of his body. Poor kid! Wish I could take the pain away.

Karmat, do you think you can update the prayer thread that discusses what is happening to Zachery? I can't seem to log on there with my laptop. Says something about "cookies". Thanks! If not, I'll get on there when I get back home.

Figure I will walk around and take pictures of everything if they will allow it. Wish I could get some pictures of the surgery..hmm..probably pass out or something though.

Surgery is at 1:25pm tomorrow.

Thanks again!
Soni

Karma, thank you, so much, for bringing Soni's message to us ... I know how "scared" a mother (or anyone, for that matter) can become at the thought of a loved one going through something like this.  I'll be praying for her as well ...

If Soni can contact you on DPC, and you can relay her messages to us here, it would be really wonderful.

Hello, Everyone!

Zachery had his surgery and is doing as well as expected.
They said when they got in there to get things fixed and removed that everything was fused together and fused to his right pelvis and his bladder, so we know why he was having such a hard time bladder problems. His appendix fell apart when they tried to move it. Anyway..the cut about 10 inches off his small intestine and I am thinking 6 from his colon. Everything is reattached and he doesn't have a bag. Thank goodness!

Yesterday was the hardest day for the poor kid. He couldn't move and didn't even have energy to move his head. They are giving him 2 pints of blood today and the one pint had already helped him get some color back in his face. They have a picc in him which is an IV that runs straight to his heart. That should be much better for him than the other. Less chance of infection. He will have the tube running to his stomach for about 3 more days to make sure his intestines are good and healed. Oh his blood sugar is high but they say that is normal for after surgery.

I'll touch back in a few days to let you all know how he is progressing. I wish I could send a picture but I forgot my card adapter.

Thanks all!
HUGS

Oh, Soni, thanks a bunch for this update on Zach.  Prayers continue for both him and you as he recovers.

Ohhh, my dear Soni.  Thank you so much for posting about "Our lad, Zach!"

I wasn't online much as I was busy with Paul being here and so I'm just reading this now.  I have just had a time of prayer for him now and hopefully he'll progress now very nicely.

Thanks Karma for relaying the messages here from Soni.

Love

Pat

Zach came through the surgery well.  He is doing fairly well -- they are getting him up and about.  He can't eat yet (as of Sunday/Monday) -- they are waiting as long as possible to give the intestines time to heal fully, but should be able to any day now (or is by now).  (He has been watching the food channel as much as possible).

Hopefully, she will be able to bring him home in the next few days.

Pat

Thanks Karma...

Please give Soni some huge cyber hugs from me.   Hope she gets in here to post when she can.
