Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Noreen has had a fall and the knee she had operated on won't hold her weight also she cannot lift it to get into bed.  It may be a muscular issue or it could be skeletal.  Their Doctor's appointment is 9:45 this morning. Please pray for Gord and Noreen during this time.

Larry Hanna

Gord, now that is not the kind of news we wanted to hear concerning Noreen.  The recovery from the knee surgery is hard enough without these new complications.  I will keep Noreen and you in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeanne Lee

Judy, thanks for the heads up.  I'm praying for both Noreen and Gord.

OK I just had a call from Gordon concerning Noreen.  She has muscle tear from the bone.  It may be several small tears or one large tear.  This is not good news for the new knee.  I read your responses to Gordon.  Please keep Noreen in prayer tomorrow, as surgery is at 9 in the morning to repair the tears.

JudyB

Noreen's  surgery was stalled from 9:00 till 4:30.  Gord wasn't at the hospital as there wasn't a place for him to wait where they would find him.  They call him at home and said she wanted him there to be with her.  It is unusual for a person to be in recovery for this kind of surgery of=ver an hour or 2, she was still in recovery being medicated at the 5 hour mark.  Gord stayed as long as he could and finally had to go home to get some rest.  He wasn't there when the doctor was in to say what they did, so he has no idea what all was done.  They gave her a nerve block in the groin, I imagine that was in itself was painful.

Noreen is still in hospital, she originally was supposed to be home last night, that now won't happen, Gord doesn't know when she will be home.

I will give you another update when I get it.

Ruth Ann Bice

I'll also be keeping y'all in my prayers.

Gord, continuing to pray for you and Noreen.

JudyB

I had a message from Gord.

QuoteNoreen came home today but very very stiff and having a hard time moving it is going to be a long haul She has to keep the brace on for at least 6 to 8 weeks and she cannot bend her knee so all that physio that she had is gone.

I know this is difficult for them, I pray they will gain patience and that there will be people around to help them.

Jeanne Lee

It is indeed going to be a difficult time for Noreen and Gord.  I pray the Lord gives them strength and peace, and His healing touch.

Judy, thanks for the update.  Having seen what Pat has gone through in a normal and good recovery from knee and hip replacement I can't imagine how difficult it will be for Gord and Noreen not being able to bend her knee and then what rehab will be needed to restore function in the knee.

Carol

The days are going to feel long for Noreen - and Gord as well.  May Noreen mend quicker than expected as she endures this trial.

:)  Good afternoon.  Gord here.  Well Noreen had her second surgery and it did go well but the pain after coming into recovery was so bad that they had to give her nerve block to stop it and the first one did not work and she had to give her an other one.  She was in recovery for 5 hrs.  then the next day she had a bad reaction to the anesthetic and she could not move in the morning after surgery so it took a lot of hours before she started to get some relief and was able to move her muscles.  Then she came home on Friday but then she     ended up getting an infection and they have put her onto a very strong antibiotic and I think it is working.

Our daughter in law has been fantastic as she is an R. N. and is able to help look after us.  Thank you for all your prayers and I will try to stay in touch more often.  All our  love to you all.   God's richest blessings.  Gordon and Noreen. :CAP: :pine: :rocker:

Janet

Even though we cannot be of "hands-on"  help to Gord and Noreen, we can and do send our prayers to our loving Father for relief for them.  Blessings to you, dear ones.

I gave Ruth and Everette the update Gord.  We all are praying.

Carol

Is Noreen improving?  It is two days since last checking in here re Noreen's 2nd. surgery. Praying for recovery.

JudyB

I haven't had anything since the 8th Carol.  Will check tomorrow.

JudyB

Talking to Gord.

Noreen has been in a brace since surgery on the 28th of May.  She has had an infection which meant antibiotics.  The pain has been tough going, sleeping on the couch instead of bed. The pain is shooting up and down her leg she says feeling like an abscess.

Gord is asking for continued prayer.

Gord Brown

:) :)  Hi Gordon here.  I just got of the phone with Judy B.  I am so thankful for your thought full ness and care regarding Noreen.  I do think that it will be a slow time for her recovery and she is trying to be strong and it is good that we have our beautiful grand kids as it helps her when they come around   So again I will say a big thank you for all the continued prayers that you all do for both of us and keep them coming.  God's richest blessings.  Gordon and Noreen. :coffee: :coffee: :cp: :bananadance: :rocker: :rocker:

Gord and Noreen, you are at the top of my prayer list.  Your names are often the first to be brought to me by our Lord when I am wakeful during the night.  May our Heavenly Father bring strength, comfort and healing.

Gord tell Noreen that John and I are praying, also I have called Ruth Lunn to pray as well!

Gord Brown

:)  Good evening to all of you wonderful prayer partners. :) :)  Well things are going along well but still value all of your prayers as the pain has not gone yet. Noreen is able to sleep in our bed properly and manages to get up through the night by herself if she has to.  We go on Tuesday to see the surgeon and he may take off her brace and of course Noreen is hoping that he says she can

Again and again I want to thank you all for your many prayers.  God's richest blessings to you all. By for now.  All our love in Christ.  Gordon and Noreen. :coffee:  :cp: :rocker: :bananadance:
