Title: Requesting your prayers.
Post by: Jim D on July 08, 2014, 10:00:14 PM
I had a total knee replacement 8 days ago and it is still VERY painful, although I'm doing my daily exercises, walking in the house (with a walker) several times every day, etc. Then, by Sun afternoon I had to go into the ER because the leg below the incision was a bright angry red. They immediately gave me 3 IV bags of antibiotics and on Monday they showed me how to administer my own IV syringes of antibiotics at home, which I am now doing 3 times a day. Please pray that this infection will be healed soon, that God's grace will strengthen me to endure this very painful rehab, and for strength and encouragement for my wife Brita. This has been and is extremely hard on her, having to do so many "nurse" type duties for me, and her health is not very good either.
Thanks so much.
- Jim

Oh, Jim, what a time you're having!  I'm so sorry.  Was their any mention of cellulitis?

I will be praying for you and also for your dear wife as the caregiver during this time.  It's difficult to be that.  I was for several years.

God bless you and yes, I'll be praying.

Thank you very much Pat. I really appreciate that, especially since you were a caregiver yourself so will know how to pray effectively my wife too  :).
God bless you!

Jim, please count me among those who are praying for your healing and for extra strength for Brita as caregiver.  I, too, have spent quite a few years as a caregiver, in several different types of situations, and know how difficult that can be.

Praying Jim.

I hope you are using ice to keep the inflammation down. Ice will soon become your best friend.

Praying for your wife as well!

(I have the prayer request on a sticky on my computer screen)

Yes Pat, I forgot to mention that. They did refer to the infection as cellulitis at the ER Sunday.  :(

Jim John had cellulitis several years ago. With antibiotics and rest he got over it.  Do as the Dr says!  Prayer continues!

Jim, I had cellulitis a couple of times.  My husband Paul has had it twice.  They have wonderful antibiotics for it but it's painful.

Thinking about you.  And I'm praying.
