Hi everyone.  This morning I received the following note from Joy, in reply to an email I'd sent her on Monday:

Good morning Bonnie.



Thank you for your love concern and prayers Mom is not doing well at all. Yesterday the pain was very bad, I had a talk with the Dr. and he said it will only be a matter of a few short weeks in his opinion.The cancer has matastisiced rapidly. He has up the pain meds. She has not been out of bed for over a week now and only takes a few spoonfuls of soup.I pray that God will ease her pain and take her home.I know that its God will and time not ours.Mom is sleeping quite a lot now.

I am so sorry that you are still experiencing pain and strain. I will continue to pray that your healing be rapid.



Praise God that he answered your finance situation God is Good



I am holding on,it has been a very rough and long journey.The doctor has given me a couple of different percriptions lately. I am still just a bundle of nerves.

To be expected I think. Thank God I am not driving and dealing with people.

Thanks for the update, Bonnie.  I know what it is to be concerned about a friend with cancer (Nita/Faye) ... God is good, and He will always be close to ease the pain and comfort us with His love.  I know this ... I just know this.    

Praying for Eileen, Faye, and my friend Pam.  Three wonderful women who are struggling with the same disease.  Father grant your peace and hold these ladies in the palm of your hand.  Grand peace to their families as well.

Thank you, Jane, for your kind words.  Yes, God is close by...and I am sure Eileen feels His presence.  Joy is struggling, not with her faith, but with having to watch her mom fade away.
   
Thank you Judy.  Cancer is an awful thing, totally indescriminate re who it touches.   The family and friends are affected too.


Dear Lord, I pray for your healing touch, your comforting presence, to be felt, experienced, by all involved in Eileen's cancer journey. 

I could only repeat the prayers offered here.  Praying for comfort for those suffering with cancer, and comfort for the caregivers.

Thank you Nita.  I'm lifting you, Faye, and the rest of your family up in prayer.  As Jane said, we can take comfort in the knowledge that God is there watching over each of you.
