Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

First five minutes of the tournament, she goes down.   Broken and dislocated wrist.    Had to put her under general anaesthesia to set it.   She was still trying to negotiate how long she'd be out when they put her under.   Two college coaches came to see her play.   Darn.

At least we've got footage they can look at.

The next day, the center defender went down with what looks like an ACL tear.   Much worse.   We're so short now, the two goalkeepers take turns playing forward.

What a bummer! Sorry to hear that Barbarian. Hope she makes a fast recovery.

Thanks, Don.   I hope she gets well quickly, too.   They get very hard to live with, if they can't play regularly.

Ohhh, my goodness!

That's terrible.  Hope the video clips will help the college coaches.

I'm so sorry to read this and hope that her healing will come quickly.  Give her arnica.  I had a broken ankle when caring for Jack and someone suggested this to me and when I went to the surgeon just for a check up, he said my ankle looked like a six week heal but it was only 2 1/2!!!!

Thanks, Pat.   I'll give it a try.   I'm very thankful that it wasn't worse than it was, and especially for the trainer on duty that day.  He is one of the best in the state, and he quickly assessed and stabilized her injury, called in to an emergency room and made sure she was treated quickly.

She was really hurting, and he greatly reduced the time it took to help her.

Edit: Took a look at the pharmacological action of arnica.   It seems to be very useful for all sorts of orthopedic problems as a topical medication.

Actually, I was very skeptical at the time as it's a homeopathic remedy and it was my youngest son that urged me to try it and he said, "At least it won't hurt you Mum and it might work!".  So off he went to the health food store to get me a bottle.  And the doctor (surgeon) was so flabbergasted that he re-looked at the date of the setting of the bones and the X-rays, etc.

It was kind of important for me too to get better quickly as Jack had had 5 bypasses and needed me and I was stuck in a chair with my daughter-in-law looking after both of us so this was really good news for us.

My sympathies are with her as I suffered with the same problem about six years ago.  Mine healed completely within the six week prediction and youth is definitely on her side.   ;)

QuoteActually, I was very skeptical at the time as it's a homeopathic remedy

It is rather toxic if ingested, but homeopathic medicine uses it diluted to the point that there are probably no molecules of the chemical left in the bottle.   So it's safe at that dilution.

But it also seems to be used by many regular physicians as a sort of linament.

Mine was drops taken internally and it sure worked.  My father was a great believer in homeopathic remedies and he was hardly ever ill.

I've never heard of that before but it looks promising. I am going to try it.

Thanks pat!
