Me, Mike and Troy took Lila Mae to the carnival to ride the rides for her first time on Saturday. She had a blast. Her reaction when she saw the carnival for the first time was, "Horsey, Mommy! You want to see horsey, Mommy?" She is actually asking to ride the horsey.
This is her pointing at the rides. She was soooo excited!

Her first ride was the carousel horses, which she loved and stayed on for 3 more rides after that. It was so funny watch her, because she was pretty serious and for some reason wouldn't smile at anyone. Not sure why?!

We had to practical drag her off the horses to the next ride. She didn't enjoy this next one as well as she did the horsey ride. But it did get a smile out of her.

The next ride was her most favorite and she rode it about 4 times before moving on to the next ride...
I thought for sure she would freak out on this ride, but she had a smile that went from ear to ear.

We moved on to the next ride with a bit of a fit from her. She could have rode this all night and would have been satified.
Next ride was the cars. She rode this three different times and each time rode in a different car. She was really cruisen along or she thought.

Next ride was the plane. She didn't enjoy it like she did the others. She only rode this once.

a few more times and then rode on the fairess wheel with dad. Every kid has to ride on it at least once in their life time. It seemed to take for ever to get the people loaded on the ride so of course being 2 she didn't like the wait, but she was very patient.

We couldn't leave the carnival without playing a few games. First game she had to pick a duck out of the flowing water and what ever number she got was the price she won. She won a ax (hamohoc)sp?
The second game she had a fishing pole and had to put it in a fishes mouth as they were moving around in circles. She got one and won a small fish. She enjoyed both games.

Sonja, what delightful photos. No one could deny she was having a good time.
From now on, if the word "carnival" is mentioned, you better have one handy! I get the distinct impression that she'll remember this one a long time!
Those moments are so special.
Lila Mae, thank you for letting us go to the carnival with you and see how much fun you had!
Great photos, and keep snapping. They are little for SUCH a short time.
That was fun. Thanks Sonja.

I'm sitting here with a grin on my face from ear to ear just thinking about the good time you all had.
What delightful photos, Soni! I'm so glad you shared them with us.
Now, I'm eagerly waiting for the next carnival and Lila Mae's trip to it!
Wow! What fun to be two!!! I had fun just seeing the carnival and how much Lila Mae enjoyed it.
Lila Mae, I like your 'do', too!
Thanks, Mommy, for sharing these photos with us.
Lila Mae is a doll. Looks to me like she was having a great time.

We tend to forget what a carnival is like for a little one, especially her very first time. What wonderful pictures, Soni, and what teriffic memories.
what a little cutie, theres a good chance she will remember that for the rest of her life. les
I think she will remember this day. She loves her fish.
Thanks all!
Wow! I bet these kiddies have grown now a lot more than in these photos!
Cute kids make it easy, don't they? And when the subject is also grinning and enthusiastic, you can't miss.
But you did a great job on these shots, alll of them. I would have changed the angle slightly on the merry-go-round to get the whole head of the horse, in the picture, but I would have kept that great lower angle that made a great background of the canopy.
These are just wonderful. Your family will treasure them for a long time to come.
