Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Happy Anniversary Christian Photograpers[/size]

I have enjoyed so much being on CP over the last few months and I thank Pat for inviting me to register.   Thank you Pat for showing me all the instruction concerning the computer.

I value the PRAYER REQUEST area and feel it is SO important to pray for each other.

I also love NEW EVERY MORNING with all the interesting posts.

I have had a great encouragement when I post in NEM and such blessing to be able to post some prayer requests about my family and friends.   Thank you everyone who has prayed.

It has been fun putting pictures in the PHOTOGRAPH area.  I don't have a scanner and so I thank Pat for doing that for me.

Overall Christian Photographers has been a huge success and I will personally pray for GOD'S RICHEST BLESSING in the coming year.

Love Ruthie ;) ;) :-* :-*

Secondly, as a matter of curiosity, what is the connection between all of the original CP'ers.
I have gathered that some of you are related...maybe all of you are.  Some of you are from scattered areas of the US and Canada.

Eddie, I am related to Mullet, Mike, T-bone.  The rest I have met on here.  I have met Etta Sue in person.  She was driving up to Canada and she stopped by to visit and have lunch.  She is an awesome person.  I also met her sister, Iva lou.  She is also very sweet.

Eddie, JudyB is related to me.  She's my sister.  Bonesy is Judy's husband.

Ruthie is my cousin.

The rest are super friends who we've got to know over the years on both SeniorNet and now on this website.

WELCOME LARRY!!

We're REALLY so very glad to see you!

Yes, we now have our THIRD Larry!   ;) ;D :o

Al Moak

I've got one thing to say about CP:

"Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
Oh come to the Father,
through Jesus the Son.
And give Him the glory -
great things He hath done!"

Janet

Yes, we are all related!  We are brothers and sisters in the Lord!  We are family!

Darrel and I now have several blue trees in the yard.  We wrapped them in blue plastic and blue tarps, and are praying for protection against the hard freeze that is predicted for the next two nights.

I need to fix something for a carry-in dinner for my painting group tomorrow.  Any suggestions?  (Yeah, I know--go to In the Kitchen!)

WELCOME, LARRY THE THIRD! ;) ;D ;D  Glad to have you with us!

OK So, Al Moak, let's sing it!

To God Be The Glory
(Click to hear music)

God and our Father:
To Whom be glory for ever.
Galatians 1:4-5

Words: Fanny Crosby
Music: W. Howard Doane

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Refrain

Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Refrain

We're expecting a snow fall here too, Janet and today right now is just like a lovely spring day.

It isn't so easy (or comfortable) to sit at the computer and type.  I bend over to the right and can move the mouse okay, so that's what I've been doing for a while.

I do want to come party with y'all today, though!  It is really hard to believe this year has gone by already.  Then I look back and marvel that so many events and situations have been packed so tightly into only one year!  So much has happened ... hopefully we have all grown in the Lord and learned to let Him keep us steady.  I so praise Him for how He has kept me close to His heart this year.  I don't ever want to move out of this place of intimacy with Him.

PAT~You have been an inspiration to many of us--not the least of whom is me!  Thank you for hanging in there when the going got tough, and you were suffering physically...God has been good to you, and to us through you!

Here's to another God-filled year at CP!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

FAVORITE QUOTE
One of life's best coping mechanisms is to know the difference
between an inconvenience and a problem. If you break your neck,
if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire -- then
you've got a problem. Everything else is an inconvenience. Life
is inconvenient. Life is lumpy. A lump in the oatmeal, a lump in
the throat and a lump in the breast are not the same kind of
lump. One needs to learn the difference.  -- Robert Fulghum

Let's Just Praise the Lord,
Praise the Lord.

Let's Just Lift Our Hands Toward Heaven,
And Praise the Lord.

Let's Just Praise the Lord,

Yes, Pat, it is broken.  Will you come and fix it?  What do you say, have to make something?  Guess it is a colloquial thing, here we say we are going to fix food.  It needs fixed to be ready for the table, I guess.  Never thought about it. (Smarty pants!)  :-\  But I love you, anyway!

Nice to see you, Trish!  You and Jacob have a happy day!

Let's remember too that this is Good Friday...  Maybe this hymn would be nice to sing at this time...

There Is a Green Hill Far Away
(Click to hear music)

Author:  Cecil F. Alexander, 1818-1895
Musician:  George C. Stebbins, 1846-1945

There is a green hill far away,
Outside a city wall,
Where the dear Lord was crucified,
Who died to save us all.

Refrain
O dearly, dearly, has He loved,
And we must love Him, too,
And trust in His redeeming blood,
And try His works to do.

We may not know, we cannot tell,
What pains He had to bear;
But we believe it was for us
He hung and suffered there.

Refrain

He died that we might be forgiven,
He died to make us good,
That we might go at last to heaven,
Saved by His precious blood.

Refrain

There was no other good enough
To pay the price of sin;
He only could unlock the gate
Of heaven and let us in.

Refrain

O dearly, dearly has He loved,
And we must love Him, too,
And trust in His redeeming blood,
And try His works to do.

Refrain

PAPA JOHN:  Praise the Lord for your return to good health.

Marbeth:  This machine is not all that bad but each of us do learn something new each day so do not be afraid.

QuoteHave you enjoyed looking at each others photographs?

I sure have!

I have enjoyed all of Etta Sues beautiful sunsets and the pictures of Alley, Bubba, and her newest addition to the family (Stinker??)  I can't remember his name right now.

I have enjoyed Pat's cute stories about the baby birds and squirrels.

I have enjoyed watching Travis grow up.

I have enjoyed seeing Janets paintings and viewing her underwater vacation shots.

I have enjoyed watching Marilyn grow with her photography skills.

I have enjoyed looking at Chris' pictures with scriptures.  They have been an inspirition to me.  I also enjoyed the cards you sent me when life was tough. Thanks!

I have enjoyed the family photos that were posted by all the members and can't forget all the animals too (because they are part of the family too).

I have enjoyed posting my own shots and getting advice, fun comments and I love it when you all say how wonderful my prints are.  That makes my day every time!

Ruth

Eddie:  My connection to CP:  Pat is a friend of mine dating back to Our School Bus Driving days with the same company then later I met and became friends with her sister Judy B and her husband John.

During the last year my daughter Sue joined the CP family as well.

Wow!  We're really dating ourselves, Ruth!  That was 1970 or 1971!!  Jack started driving for Langdon's in 1969 (I think that was the year).

Happy Anniversary CP,

God Bless each and every one of you.

Now I see what the connection to the original CP'ers is.....either Senior Net or Relatives.

I also see that I have been elevated up from NEWBIE...it only took 50 postings.  Maybe after another 50 postings, I will have started using all of the tools that are available.

It tells me that a whole lot of work goes into maintaining this site....something that I don't have the patience for learning how to set up, even use.

No, not all SeniorNet or relatives.  Many have come to us from Google and some from various photo sites as well.

There was a site also called "Christian Photography" and the original owner decided to shut it down very quickly and that's when I decided to open "Christian Photographers" and many came from that other site, Ed.
