Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hi, friends,

Coming here as I get home helps me to really remember that when I'm here I AM home! At home with my christian friends. What a relief from the work-a-day world.

Nards, I understand. Here I am nearing retirement age and working as many as 55-70 hours a week (on salary, of course). And, the pay's not all that high, either.

But, I'm trying to save to get the repairs that are so badly needed on my home. Then, I plan to cut back and enjoy life.

Alma, I'm always late, but welcome to our midst. It's great to see you here.

And, others I've completely missed, so here's a great big welcome to all those who have joined recently.

Janet, also didn't comment on your birthday. I hope it was good and that this coming year will bring joys and satisfactions, health and peace.

Y'all take care of yourselves - now, you HEAR that, don't ya!  ;)

It is good to see everyone today;

A special welcome to Alma.  Thank you for your good introduction and as Pat says for jumping right in and telling us about yourself.

Pat, I'm sorry you are having trouble with your computer and I hope you get it fixed soon.  I know you are unhappy when the computer is down.

Our Martha who is attending a week of workshops in New Mexico has talked with us every day.  Sunday she went to church in Santa Fe but she is really in Albuquerque for the week.  She said she is going to church tomorrow night.  It is very interesting to visit other Christians when you are traveling.

Nards, I'm sorry your work is so stressful.  I understand because there were times when we were under a lot of stress in our work but when you have come through a particularly stressful job and it turns out well the reward is great.  In the long run what you are doing my be more satisfying then some ho hum sort of job without many responsibilities.  In any case you need to be careful and not let your stress get you down.  You need to "take time to smell the roses."

Matt 11:28-30  "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.[/.b]  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  (NIV)

Eph 2:8-9  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.(NIV)

We finally got our rain.  It started during the night and almost all day it was just a lovely fine "misty" rain, then about 4:30 (just in time to get out of work...  with my umbrella in the car  :-\) it started coming down heavier for a couple of hours.  Then just before 7:00 the sun came out.

No more sign of our turkey.  :(  We keep listening and looking, but I guess we scared her off.

Janet, I haven't been to the photo area yet, but I'll be I know who was "dressing up"!

Alma, I'm always the tail end in the evening here, but I do want to wish you a warm welcome.  When my stepmother and my father were dying we had 24 hour home health aids and I don't  how we would have managed without them.  Also, I have a daughter-in-law who is an aid in Phoenix.

Dear all
I   have so enjoyed to read all of your comments. I will tell you what I have told others, :-[, that when I get to heaven, Our father God and I are going to have a talk. :). I say that with a smile.
I recived my first cna license when I was 15 years old. I started then and have learned many other certificates in the years.
I even went to college to learn accounting, which I have a degree in. But when it all came down to it I ended up once again taking care of others.
I will try to learn as much as I can about you. I am so pleased the Lord opened this site up for me to find.May God Bless each and every one of you. In Jesus Love~ALMA

Alma we have another member  who is a Hospice nurse in Texas. Her name is Pinkie, she hasn't been able to post for quite some time. I think she has been awfully busy.

Has anyone heard from Pinkie?

I have some tightness inmy left shoulder tonight. I think it is time for me to switch to a smaller purse again and take my camera out of my purse. I really hate to leave it home just in case a photo op comes along. Ill just have to quit carrying my purse on my shoulder I guess. That is a hard thing for me to change.  My Chiropractor already told me to change that.

Well y-all I am signing off for tonight.

Y-all come back now Ya heah. Oh My Goodness I have reverted to my accent.

Welcome Alma:  It is lovely to hear from you.

Nards:  Please take care.  We know a lot about stressful work.  It wasn't easy and it is tough on the family.

Goodnight y'all.  (We lived in Texas for nine years but I never did get the twang right)
