Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional

USE GOD'S MO

"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
(Hebrews 11:3)

God uses words to create. He used His Word to "frame" the worlds. Just look in the first chapter of Genesis and count how many times you see the phrase, "God said." "God said, Let there be light: and there was light.... God said, Let there be a firmament.... God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together.... God said, Let the earth bring forth...."

God doesn't do anything without saying it first. That's His MO, His mode of operation. And, if you're smart, you'll use that mode of operation too. You'll take His words and speak them out until they take on form and substance and become a reality in your life.

"Well, you may say, I tried that and it didn't work. I said, 'By His stripes I'm healed' four times and nothing happened."

God started saying that Jesus was coming in the Garden of Eden. He said it again in Exodus. He said it again in Numbers and Deuteronomy. He said it in Isaiah and the other prophets. He said it all through the Old Testament, over and over again.

Then after about 4,000 years, the book of John tells us, "The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us."

So if you've said you're healed four times and nothing's happened, don't worry about it. Just keep saying it! You might think it's taking a long time to manifest, but I'll guarantee you, it won't take 4,000 years.

Do you want to operate in God's power? Then use His MO. Speak out His words and let them frame a life full of blessing for you!

Like the Most High

"I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High" (Isaiah 14:14).

These are two of the "I will's" of Satan-or Lucifer-as he aspired to usurp the throne of God as ruler of the universe (see Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-17). Not content to be "the anointed cherub," the highest of the angelic hierarchy (Ezekiel 28:14), he wanted to be God, and this monstrous pride became "the condemnation of the devil" (I Tim-othy 3:6), so that he is now "fallen from heaven" and will soon be "brought down to hell" (Isaiah 14:12,15).

Lucifer, of course, is not the Creator, for he was "created" (Ezekiel 28:15) himself. It would seem therefore that for him to rationalize his ambition to be like the most High, he must somehow persuade himself that he is like the most High-that is, that God is a created being like himself, and thus can be defeated. He only had God's word that he had been created by Him, and he evidently chose not to believe what God said (just as do multitudes of men and women today).

He, like they, chose rather to believe that the eternal cosmos had somehow created them all by its own powers. The great cosmos (call it Mother Nature, perhaps) has "created" spirit beings, as well as men and women, and all the worlds inhabited by them. In this scenario, the true Creator God is viewed as only one of many. Therefore He is vulnerable to defeat-or so Satan evidently believes.

Thus Lucifer became the first evolutionist, and this great lie by which he deceived himself became the basis of his later deception of Eve and then of the founders of all the varied pantheistic religions of the world, as well as modern evolutionism and "New Age" philosophies. Nevertheless, God is still on His throne, and "the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings" (Revelation 17:14). HMM

Thank you Pat for the compliment on my new sig, one of the Masters made that for me as a birthday gift. I have a bunch of them.

Good Morning everyone. Another blessed day ahead. It rained during the night here, I thank God for the rain that makes everything grow so beautiful the rest of the year.

Only working 1/2 day today and going to have my nails done this afternoon. Not much else is new here this morning.

Ah Janet you are back a big howdy to you. I am praying for  Beth and Darrel.

Good Morning.

I have a few things to get done on the computer, and some housework to do, and then have to be at the grocery store to start my shift at 3, and a staff meeting which is to commence when the store closes at 8.  This is going to be a long day.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

Etta Sue

Oh, Janet.  I did miss your posts and I was praying for a new monitor for you.  With today's electronics...and they are reasonable in price...it is cheaper to buy new than repair.  Glad you got a new monitor.  They do make a difference.  Just like getting new glasses!

I read all the posts since posting yesterday morning but I didn't keep notes.  Just know that I read them and will pray over those that I feel need prayers.

God Bless all of You.  I, too, feel you are all family and a day missed on CP is very depressing.  I have to read how my family is doing every day.

I called Lynn last night and she is going to see Jerry today and tomorrow so I opted to stay home and see him Monday.  So I have a niece that is having a candle party at 11 a.m.  Then I want to get some groceries in.  Monday evening, Ivalou and I are hostess of our local Lion's Club so we need to get the meat for the pitch-in/covered dish dinner.  I have to think what I want to take before going to the grocery.  I haven't had my
Layered Salad for a long time and it does sound sooooo good.

As TBear says....it is very cold here.  I don't think I am to get any accumulation here of snow unless the prediction was changed from last evening.  But it is very windy and cold.  36°F  Brrrrrr!  Yes, I like the 80° weather much better.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I was going to make a brief posting last evening but the page didn't want to load and I decided I was too tired anyway and was ready for bed.

Yesterday was a long day.  We left for the hospital at 7 am as were suppose to be there by 9 am and that is the rush hour period around Atlanta.  We got there in plenty of time and they called Pat back to get ready for surgery at 10 am.  She was given the drugs at 11 and then we waited and waited.  It was 12:30 before they came to get her and the surgery took about 90 minutes.  Then she was in recovery about 2 hours before I was able to go in a see her.

She did very well with the surgery and after about 2 more hours in extended recovery we were able to come home.  She did get some sleep last night and this morning is sleeping again after taking a less strong pain pill.  She doesn't seem to be having a lot of pain.  There are two incisions, one of which is probably about 5 or 6 inches in length, and each incision has a drain.  We have to go back to the doctor's office on Wednesday to have the drains removed.

I am really beat today so just plan to take things easy.  A lady from church brought in a meal yesterday, which we got home too late to eat so will have today.  I also understand that other friends are bringing in an evening meal tonight so I don't have to deal with trying to cook.

Janet, glad to see you got a new monitor and think you made a very wise decision to not try to have the old one repaired.

I see several mentions of colder weather and possible snow.  While we are not going to have snow it is suppose to get down to 37 tonight and is a lot cooler here today than it has been for sometime.  We had some heavy storms pass through yesterday and then again last night.  it is partly cloudy here today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

amazing grace my fav song!

im too sleepy to type more maybe tomorrow.

Ruth Ann Bice

Thanks for the update, Larry.

Pat, I, too, am enjoying "Amazing Grace" - how much that song has blessed me through the years!

My back and right hip are still very sore, but I'm more able to move about now. Thank goodness. I certainly appreciate your prayers.

I, too, miss our family members when they're away. I'll need to phone Papa John and see if I can get an update - have not heard from him in quite a while.

Welcome to our new posters - it's so good to see you here.

Y'all have a good day with the Lord.

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Pat

That would be so good if you phoned Papa John, Ruth Ann.  I sure miss some of our folks who used to be quite regular on here.

We're having quite a storm headed our way too, TBear.  Snow and rain and high winds.  So I'm going to shut my computer down between times online today as we're also expecting lightening and thunder.

Larry thanks for the update.  I hope she does really well.  Is the hospital far from you?

Glad everyone is enjoying that Amazing Grace link.  I played that most of the time I couldn't sleep in the night.

Marilyn, that's so nice a sig.  I used to get those too on my birthday but life is so hectic and you can't belong to all the sites you'd like to.

I've been thinking of the verse "By His stripes we are healed".  It's wonderful to know that the day we accept Christ as our Saviour, our sinful soul is healed.  What a wonderful Saviour we have and what a work was done on the cross of Calvary for us to have our terrible sins healed and taken from us.

Reader, have you had this work of healing in your life by the Master Healer?  He died for you and suffered the cruel stripes on that Cross of Calvary for us so that we might be healed from our life of sin when we make Him Lord of our life.

Since Jesus Came Into My Heart
(Click to hear music)

I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in.
Revelation 3:20

Words: Rufus H. McDaniel, 1914. McDaniel wrote these words after the death of his son.
Music: Charles H. Gabriel, 1914

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart!
I have light in my soul for which long I had sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Floods of joy o?er my soul
Like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And my sins, which were many, are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

I?m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

There?s a light in the valley of death now for me,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And the gates of the City beyond I can see,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know,
Since Jesus came into my heart!
And I?m happy, so happy, as onward I go,
Since Jesus came into my heart!

Refrain

I like that comment on Is. 53:5.  I certainly believe that, and it's a wonderful relief to a sin-sick soul!  (and all of us have had sin-sick souls)

Pat

I hope all of you are well today!  It's teeming in rain here and supposed to change to snow later.  What crazy weather.  Kids were in shorts and t shirts the other day.  Now we're back (almost) to our winter togs.

Hello, CP friends!  I just got back home from the retreat.  It was so nice, and the weather was just gorgeous!  That camp has changed so much since I was last there years ago.  I'm thinking it would be a perfect place to have our family reunion in a coming year, housing for all, lots to entertain the kids (even a swimming pool) and they will even cook the meals if you want.  I picked up information which I will share with the family in June.

We had a really good and inspirational speaker and a wonderful time of fellowship.  So it was all good, as the kids say now.

Abby called and wants me to cme get her.  We haven't seen each other for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!  :'( That is way too long.  So she asked her Mom, and Diane is to call me back.  :D

Thanks for the comments on my new monitor.  I sure do like it!  And it takes so much less space on my desk, too.

Yes, by His stripes we were healed---not only sins but every sickness and disease as well.  Praise his holy name!!

I went and read the rest of yesterday's messages and came back to say thanks to those who missed me!  ;D

This will be our last Sunday without a pastor!!  Pastor and family to arrive on Tuesday, Praise God, praise God!!  ;D ;D ;D

Hello Everyone..
I know its been awhile since i have been here-lots going on in our lives..We haven't sold our house yet, thought we would just stay put but, now were thinking of listing it in July-we have some more painting to do and  a countertop to replace-we are meeting with our realtor on Tuesday for another Market Analysis so we will see what happens then.
I have had to step back and try and not over do myself as I am having some back problems-mainly with my low back-I have had to go to the chiropractor 3 x's..this isn't anything new though I have had ongoing back problems since we were in a car wreck back in 96.
Anyway other then that I am keeping busy with the kids and we got a new puppy lol.
Ohhh We also changed churches and really love the church we are attending as the kids have lots of things to keep them busy.
Last week was our first time-it was really neat.
Well, that is it for me for now-I would ask that you keep my friend Shawnee in prayers-they just lost her MIL to cancer and there not doing well-on top of that from the stress it is causing her head to really hurt from the MS-(on one side of her body)she may have to go into the hospital on Monday for shots-please pray for her and there family.
Hugs
Rachelle
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thy own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct thy paths.

Ohhh, Rachelle, it's so nice to see you here.  I heard from Marilyn about Shawnee's MIL and have been remembering them both in prayer.

You have lots of news.  Glad to see you.  Please don't be a stranger.

Not, it's time to lock the door.
