Morning Devotional...

Receive Your Miracle

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:10)

Do you need a miracle? Then believe it, confess it and receive it!

"Oh now, I just don't know if I can do that."

Yes, you can! You've already done it once. When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you believed, confessed and received the greatest miracle in the universe, the miracle of a reborn spirit! Every other miracle you receive will come in exactly the same way.

You start by simply believing what God's Word says concerning your area of need, by letting that Word change your heart and mind.

A lot of people try to skip that step. They try to believe for a miracle without spending enough time in the Word to change their heart and mind. They just want to confess it with their mouths and have it instantly appear. But that won't happen. It's what we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths that we receive.

If you don't have enough faith yet to believe for the miracle you need, then you can get it. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Rom. 10:17). So start filling the ears of your heart with the Word until faith for your miracle is born.

That's what the woman did who had the issue of blood. She believed in her heart that Jesus would heal her. Then she spoke her faith out loud. Then she acted on that faith--and she received her miracle.

It wasn't Jesus' decision. He didn't suddenly say, "You know, I think I'll work a miracle for that little lady today." No. She made it happen. She took her faith and drew on the power of God. That's why Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has made you whole" (Matt.

You have that same opportunity. God's power is always present everywhere. Your faith will bring it into your life, body or circumstances. So reach out to Jesus. Believe, confess and receive your miracle today.

:) A BIG good morning to all of you today :)

I am trying to read everyone's post and catch back up.  Janet..your devotional is just what is needed for today...believe, believe, confess and have faith that God will just handle any situation we are in.

Now, I'm off to see the pics you posted.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by me.  John 14:6

THE DISCIPLINE OF DIFFICULTY

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.

     John 16:33

An average view of the Christian life is that it means deliverance
from trouble. It is deliverance in trouble, which is very different.
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High...there shall
no evil befall thee" - no plague can come nigh the place where you
are at one with God.

If you are a child of God, there certainly will be troubles to meet,
but Jesus says do not be surprised when they come. "In the world yet
shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the
world, there is nothing for you to fear." Men who before they were
saved would scorn to talk about troubles, often become "fushionless"
after being born again because they have a wrong idea of a saint.

God does not give us overcoming life: He gives us life as we
overcome. The strain is the strength. If there is no strain, there is
no strength. Are you asking God to give you life and liberty and joy?
He cannot, unless you will accept the strain. Immediately you face
the strain, you will get the strength. Overcome your own timidity and
take the step, and God will give you to eat of the tree of life and
you will get nourishment. If you spend yourself out physically, you
become exhausted; but spend yourself spiritually, and you get more
strength. God never gives strength for to-morrow, or for the next
hour, but only for the strain of the minute. The temptation is to
face difficulties from a common-sense standpoint. The saint is
hilarious when he is crushed with difficulties because the thing is
so ludicrously impossible to anyone but God.

Hi everyone.  Back from coffee.  Pat called me at the cafe and said she needed the car.  She has gone shopping so know she will be worn out for the day after she gets back.

Jane, I have probably suggested this before but have you written to your Congressman and Senators and advised them of the harrassment you are getting from IRS.  Having worked in an office receiving such referrals from Congressmen I know that such letters are usually not ignored (at least that was true in the agency where I worked as we had strict deadlines to provide answers to any citizens concerns).  I know that IRS can be very ruthless.  Sorry about the tinnitis but know that stress brings on many bad results.

Janet, certainly glad that Diane is helping you and when I read that your other daughter hasn't been treating you with proper respect I just have to shake my head over the loss of precious time when you two could be sharing together.  I hope this is a sign of softening in her attitude.  I agree with Marilyn in thinking that the State of Kansas must have some type of help programs for people who cannot care for themselves such a home health workers to assist.  However, I know you have probably already explored this avenue.

Ruth Ann, what a day you had.  Surely someone from the doctor's office could have assisted you with getting the new equipment to your truck.  I have gotten to the point where I don't hesistate to ask for help in lifting something heavy and find that someone is usually willing to lead a hand.  My wife's aunt used that bone stimulator with her broken hip and it seems to have done the job.  I remember her saying she had to had it on for 10 hours also.  At least that is going to require you to rest.

Judy, it is hard to believe that colder weather will soon be upon the country again but know the weeks are speeding by.  Many of the schools started in our area this week and our county starts next week so fall is close by.  Of course you get the colder weather much before we do.  Hope you are able to get your transportation problems fixed soon.  It does seem that when one vehicle has a problem the second one also has a problem.

Pat, that is good news on the water cooler situation.  I am glad the company is accepting responsibility for the damage caused by their product and that they have indicated a willingness to end up with a satisfied customer.  Unfortunately it won't wipe out all the concern you have had from this event.

Sonja, that was 1200 new teachers as there are many more teachers in the system.  They have added over 400 new classrooms since last year.  This is the school system just for our county and there are other large school districts in the surrounding counties around Atlanta.  We still have lots of classes being conducted in trailers as the system just can't keep up with the demand for schools.  This county continues to grow at a very fast pace and with that it brings a whole host of problems related to schools, infrastructure, traffic and crime.  However, it is still a great county in which to live.

Etta Sue, I experienced the same login problem a couple of days ago.  I thought it was strange but is easy to solve in that you just log in again and be sure you set it to remember you forever.  Hope you were able to meet the SeniorNetter for lunch yesterday as that is always a fun experience.

Papa John, I do not receive Social Security as all my work career was with the Federal government and am covered by the Civil Service Retirement plan.  I always get my check on the 1st of the month.  I used to have it directly deposited into a different bank and I wouldn't get access to it until the first business day of the month.  When I switched to the Credit Union they always make it available on the 1st, even if it is a non-workday.  I think the rent Marilyn is facing is also about the going rates around here.  I think maybe you could get a one-bedroom apartment for that but probably not a house as most of those now rent for $1,000 and more.  One of the happiest days of my life when when we sold our rental house.  I never want to own one again.

Hi Ruth, snapshotgal, Sue, Joyce and everyone else who stops by today.

Janet

I am off to Sublette to judge today at their fair.  I will be judging children's arts and crafts, a fun job.  I need to be getting on the road soon, but wanted to pop in and say hello.  HELLO!   ;D

Good Morning.  am not going to work until 10 am today. Not much to say though this morning, I have think more about getting things packed up than what to say, my mind is not concentrating very well at the moment.

edit=> I went to work at Versal's and she had a houseful of people so she gave me the day off, I have packed 2 boxes of books, some are already packed from a few months ago, still have more books to pack. I took a bunch of Real simple magaxzines over to my doctor's office that I had promised to them some time ago. I guess I had better take advantage of this day off to accomplish a few more things like sorting and getting rid of stuff I won't ever use anymore instead of packing it up to get rid of later.

Janet ~ It seems I have been having some pc problems.  I couldn't get my email Outlook Express to open today.  Tried four times.  Finally, I rebooted.  Got back online and Outlook Express opened fine.  I have ran all my virus, adaware and spyware detectors.  Don't know what else to do.  Do take it easy, Janet.  Those wheelchairs aren't only heavy but awkward, too.  The caregiver has to take care of themselves, ya know.

Marilyn ~ If you can get subsidized for your rental home, it won't be so much on you.  I am praying for ya, gal!

joyce robson ~ You and your hubby are in my prayers.  God bless you.  I have seen that list of Emergency numbers also but in a different format.  Interesting and a great list to have.

Sue ~ I will help you pray for your job, too.  Hope you get what you want.

Soni ~ Just be a spectator folfer until that shoulder heals.  You have to dance with arms and shoulders so don't ruin that shoulder.

snapshotgal ~ Wish we could hear your kids and you singing.  That would be a treat!

Jane ~ It is good that all of you are back in your nest.  And Autumn Rose is five.  NO!  Can't be.  I remember when she was born!!!  Geesh!  They sure grow up fast!

Ruth ~ What was for dinner?  If Ida known sooner......

Pat Scott ~ Sounds like you are getting an easier way to get good water.  I wish I could pipe my well water up there.....it is sooooo good!  Pure good ol' well water.  Just the cold water faucet in the kitchen....the rest of the house is water softener water....yuck!!

JudyB ~ I remember swimming in a heated pool near Flagstaff, Arizona.  You could see your breath but the water was warm....but you RAN to the room as soon as you were out of the water.  Ah, the good ol' days.

Ruth Ann Bice ~ Sounds like you had an ordeal carrying that case.  It amazes me when a doctor says, 'Hop up here in the examining table' when the person hobbles in with a walker or Handicap parking is on the opposite side of the building or say my Urologist office....you park your car...walk across the parking lot to the door.  Go through two sets of doors...down a hallway to the elevator.  Get off the elevater and go down another long hallway to the office door.  Sit down in the waiting room.  Then when you are called you go down some more halls....certainly not a place for someone who can't walk well.

Larry ~ Today the NEM clickable worked fine.  Yesterday, I wasn't logged in but when I logged in, it took me back to the previous day and when I clicked on the clickable again, I wasn't logged in again...a circle.  So I went to the list of NEM's and clicked on the day I wanted and I was logged in already.  I always tick it 'Forever'.  Just cyber spooks trying to make us senile!!

I did meet with the SrNetter from Columbus, Ohio, and her sister that lives here in Indiana.  We had a great time chatting and talking about people we know in common.  Ann Alden is her name.  I know some of you know her, too.  A great lady.

After the luncheon, I stopped at Charlene's and chatted with her for awhile.  She was baby sitting...does that to compensate their income...but I never saw a child.  They were all napping and I left before they awoke.  Then I came home.

I called Judy, my classmate, to see if she wanted to go out to eat around 5 but she called back and said she ate Chinese at 3 p.m.  She works at WalMart in the financial department and has weird hours.  So Ivalou and I went out to eat at 'The Bank' in Pendleton.  A quaint little restaurant that is in the building where the bank used to be a long time ago.  There is a teller window with gold bricks on the counter at the front door.  And the menus look like enlarged bills on the cover.  Also each table has a piggy bank on it for decoration.  Real quaint and great food.

Today, I dusted, swept, moved living room furniture around, put away and threw away stuff.  Then showered.  As soon as I get caught up online, then it is a TV and popcorn evening for me!!

There's been an horrific plane crash in Toronto.  An AirFrance Airbus from Paris to Toronto has crashed in violent weather carrying 291 passengers.

This happened about 50 minutes ago right beside Highway 401.

Etta Sue The memorable time we had in AZ was christmas 1999.   We were racing home after picking up a load in Phoenix.   The temperature on the 22 of December was 108*F  we traveled to Flagstaff and were blanketted in snow, and it was COLD!

Yes Larry too soon for the cold weather.

Pat I have turned on CNN and am watching the news.

Talk later

TBEAR IS HOME ... YEAH !!!

I arrived home last night around 8 pm and it is good to be home again !!  Well, I have to keep this short and I need to get dinner started for the family so I just wanted to share something with all of you !!  Below is the picture of our family that we took yesterday while visiting with our son that we have not seen in 3 years so here is a NEW FAMILY PICTURE so I'll return again soon with all the stories to share !! STAY TUNE !!

Sonifo

hi everyone!

Great shot @ tbear.

I am taking care of it, Etta Sue! Thanks ((hug))

JudyB

Well according to CNN there are no fatalities.  Everyone got off the plane before the fire errupted.  Thank God for that.

Well the girls have taken to stripping the varnish and paint off an old cupboard.  It is one I want to use in the livingroom with our sterio.

I have a dress cut out and want to get most of it put together tonight.  The dress is a pink and grey poly and the jacket is out of grey chiffon.   When this is done I will be starting a desplay for the store.  We have 2 weeks to get the desplays completed.  Lots of time if no one else is using the sewing machine!!! Hopefully that will be remedied soon, we all have our outfits to work on.

I had a short night last night, and am really tired today.  To bed early.  Not likely I will be back on tonight.

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

I'm thankful my new wheelchair came today, and we've made the computer in the office accessible to me. I'm very thankful I can get online more often now, and already Leslie has commented that he's not needing to do as many things for me.

Yet, he's been a wonderful caretaker, watching carefully for ways he could suggest to make life easier, fetching and carrrying, making sandwiches, etc. What a blessing he's been here with me.

Well, must go - I need to get a bite of dinner before it gets too late.

Oh, yes - I found a REAL incentive to continue losing more weight. The 50 lb. weight loss allowed me to use a lightweight chair, and, when I lose maybe 25 more lbs, will be able to go to an ultralite.

Y'all have a good evening.

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Janet

I am back home.  I had a LOT of entries to judge, but it went fairly quickly.  On the way home, I went by to visit a friend who lives about 20 miles out in the country, whom I hadn't seen in many months.  It was so good to see them again.

Beth said Dr. Cone's nurse called and said he had looked at her MRI and said there is nothing he can do for her, so she wants me to book her ticket to New York, ASAP.  But I can't do that until she decides how long she wants to stay!  (I still don't know how she is going to manage traveling alone............)

Good to read all your posts today, I am not commenting to each of you as I am very tired and think I will get ready for bed and lie down to read.  And if I fall asleep, I fall asleep! 8)

Tomorrow morning I have to leave early to drive to Garden and judge there.

Sue

I was working at the time of the plane crash, and was shocked to hear it.  The customer I had at the time immediately started to pray for the people on the plane and on the surrounding hiway.  And then to arrive home and hear that there were only 14 injuries and NO fatalities.  Praise God!

Pat

It was indeed wonderful news after the plane crash that no lives were lost and all were able to get off the plane safely.

Now, it's time to open a NEM.
