JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Ria - last year there was good TV coverage of the Tour.  Of course, we don't have a TV, but there was good coverage :)  I'm looking forward to following it again this year.
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Check out my blog at www.bernardshuford.com.

Joyce, I don't understand what problems you are having with your password.

Don't you always stay logged in?  What are you waiting for  when you say, "waiting for your password"...

I was just listening to the TV news and heard this question.  I never knew this before...

Where did Babe Ruth hit his first Home Run?

Wow - I hope none of you ever have to buy what I just had to buy!  $90 for a pair of socks!  Well, compression stockings.  If I have to do that very often we'll have to learn to eat socks, put socks in the gas tank, wash our clothes in socks, etc.

Pat

Wow!  Are they made in Germany, Al?  Jack's were and they were $86.00 a pair back then.  He had three pair.

I sure hope that they help.  They helped Jack.  He never went without them.

It may be Canada's BD, but it is also our wedding anniversary...44 wonderful and delightful years w/my BW.  Actually we've known each other, all told, 47 yrs .

Not been here abouts lately.  My putor crashed like everyones alse's has done lately.  Some kinda virus ate up my reboot sector and that in turn hosed my Windows XP.  Those are my nephew terms, not mine.  I'm not that computer literate.

He spent 4 hrs re-installling and transferring my date from one hard-drive to another.  I am so glad that Mike & Amy help out their poor old Uncle Ed....and Mike wouldn't take anything for his work.  "Your family, no charge."

I won't be around here much in the next week as we prepare to leave for a month.  HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE.

PAT:  I've been sorta following the near death experience of your car.  I hope someone comes you way and fixes it for you at a VERY reasonable cost.....like for parts only!!  I'll pray for just that....as I already have been doing.

I just helped my son put a set of heads on his truck.  He didn't quite know how to go about it so I let him do the hard labor and I stood by and told him what he did...right and wrong.

When he fired it up after we set the valves and the timing...a broad grin appeared on his thankful face.  "Now if I could only get the '71 Chevelle running as good as this truck," was his next comment.  I told him to get it to my house an 1.5 hrs from his place and I'd see what I cuold do for him.

Eddie, I just noticed your little quote "worry brings tomorrow's clouds over today's sunshine."  Very good, and true. Congratulations to you and your wife on your 44th wedding anniversary!!

After making sure I had a letter in the box to go to Curtis, the mail carrier didn't take it!  :-\ >:( :(  So in the morning, I will take it to town and put it in the post office myself!

No news here, just catching up with the posts.

A good little story for you...........

What You Are Is As Important As What You Do
By Patricia Fripp
It was a sunny Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma City. My friend and proud father Bobby Lewis was taking his two little boys to play miniature golf. He walked up to the fellow at the ticket counter and said, "How much is it to get in?"

The young man replied, "$3.00 for you and $3.00 for any kid who is older than six. We let them in free if they are six or younger. How old are they?"

Bobby replied, "The lawyer's three and the doctor is seven, so I guess I owe you $6.00."

The man at the ticket counter said, "Hey, Mister, did you just win the lottery or something? You could have saved yourself three bucks. You could have told me that the older one was six; I wouldn't have known the difference." Bobby replied, "Yes, that may be true, but the kids would have known the difference."

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Who you are speaks so loudly I can't hear what you're saying." In challenging times when ethics are more important than ever before, make sure you set a good example for everyone you work and live with.

That one is a good lesson Janet.

I have been grocery shopping after work and stocked up on stuff for the freezer.  am all set for quite some time now except for dog food. It is less expensive at Kmart  so willg et that there.

Haven't seen any bugs lately, I guess I will have to go outside and HUNT bugs. :o 8)
