Morning Devotional...If there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.2 Corinthians 8:12
How quickly we can rise to our own defence when some opportunity for service or stewardship is placed before us: "I can't do that."
But God does not ask us to do what we cannot. A more careful search of our resources often proves that we can do more than we first thought. Martin Luther, when asked to contribute to a need, recalled he had been presented with a gold medal of Joachim, Elector of Brandenburg.
Going to his drawer, he opened it and said, "What are you doing there, Joachim? Come out and make yourself useful."
Would your pockets reveal some idle Joachims?

My heart, my strength, my life, my all,
are His, and His forever.

AM I THE FIRST POST????
Good morning everyone. I have to leave in a couple of minutes to pickup a couple of men to take to the senior center for our coffee this morning. Hope everyone has a good day.
Hi Pat, Sarah (#1 today!) and Larry. I wish you all a great day today.
It is cloudy, cool and beautiful here this early morning. I guess I had such a nice nap yesterday that I didn't need to sleep last night very much, so I've been up since before dawn. It's actually the lovliest part of the day, but I don't enjoy it that often with my eyes OPEN ::).
Beth starts therapy in another place today, so I have to come home and get her after my workout and take her back for hers. I have a couple of other stops to make, so maybe it won't involve another trip to town, she should be through by the time I get finished with my errands.
No news yet today, but the illustration of Martin Luther talking to his medal does stir up some interesting thoughts. How many things do I have lurking in closets, drawers and corners that would be a blessing to someone else? Come out! Come out!! ;D No answer.....guess I will have to go dig them out myself!
I forgot to tell our Canadian friends Happy Birthday when I posted earlier.
I am back from coffee and have more webwork to accomplish today.
Janet, sure hope the new physical therapy will be beneficial for Beth.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I must say
Happy Canada Day!
Our hour walk with the dog this morning took us in a different direction and we came upon a hidden pond where we saw a mother mallard with two ducklings. there were two benches so we could sit for a while and watch all the birds and so forth and this is such a smart dog and quiet as well. We are about to take off for a while before the mall gets too busy - we are not much for looking at malls but it is quite warm today and I do need to find a sporting goods store. People are already lighting firecrackers so I am sure some animals in the area are traumatized.

Good Morning to one and all. I am working 1/2 day today and while I am at fay's I am going to wash my car, it sure needs it with all the dust and dirt flying around here from the construction equipment.

Good Morning!
Have a wonderful day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CANADA!!!
Hi Soni! Hi Marilyn---good ones! ;)
Hi there, Carol! Sounds like a lovely walk this morning, wish I could have walked with you!
Beth's therapy went well, but she has SO far to go! :-\
I need to get busy here, been running around all morning!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CANADA!
Nards ~ Hi!
Jane ~ My least favorite thing to do is take my car to get maintenance on it. Seems they can always find something to try to talk you into doing. I hate that. I keep thinking...if I were a man you wouldn't be saying I need this or that. Like the time before last, I was told I needed four new tires. I put two on. The last oil and grease job, nothing was said about two more tires. Grrrr!
Carol ~ Speaking of dogs...my brother was just here and brought Libby, his dog. I just realized I hadn't seen the cats for awhile. When I called for them, Inky came out from under my bed. I still don't know where Ali is. (I fixed your red, moving Happy Canada Day for you)
Jen ~ Be sure and post in NEM that you have posted pictures of Mercy. I am so anxious to see her picture. And pictures of the ocean. I love the ocean.
Boots ~ I sure hope you get to meet Karma and Nards when you are golfing in NC. They are great people. I loved having them here when they went to a wedding in IL. Trav is a cutie and I know Kristi is a darling.
Janet ~ You sure have a lot on your plate. I pray that those 'do-nothing' days help you to keep going. Please give a gently hug to Beth and tell her I think of her so often, she would be amazed.
Larry ~ Yes, it is nice to see posts from people we haven't heard from for awhile. Very nice, indeed. How are you today? Is your strength holding up?
Marilyn ~ Your day will come...for doing nothing. Just pray that you are healthy when that day comes. I sure never thought I would enjoy not working but about two weeks into retirement, I was enjoying not working.
karmat ~ I see a meeting with Boots in your future. How kewl will that be? Yes, I remember how my house looked when I was working, married and raising my son. Didn't get much done. I still don't but it is only me that messes it up and keeping the windows closed keeps the dust down....well, some of it.
Pat ~ The foursome....Ivalou, Marge, Betty and I...are going to Conner Prairie for the 'Glorious Fourth at Conner Prairie'. We are taking a picnic and lawn chairs. We will sit on a natural grassy incline with an orchestra shell at the foot of the hill. We will have our picnic and then listen to patriot music played by an orchestra and singing. Everything to honor the military of our nation. Then at dark, a fabulous fireworks display. A great time.
Sarah ~ You seem tired when you post but I can also sense enthusiasm. I sense that you are enjoying your job because of the challenge in getting the work done. Take time for yourself so you don't get burnt out.
Sonja ~ YOU have a wonderful day, too!
Looking back on this post...I have posted what I have done and will do. So bye-bye!?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`

Hey there all y'all! :D
I did post yesterday evening (right after Karma) but it got overridden by Marilyn's post and I just didn't feel like rewriting it. :-\
You're absolutely right, ETTA SUE~ I had my car "checked for a road trip," and a lube and oil change, to the tune of $80 with a discount! They said "the only problems we could find were the valve cover gasket leaking oil, recommend replacing it before the trip, and the power steering pressure switch leaking power steering fluid."
Of course the cost of parts and labor to replace the valve cover gasket will be $95 and they are trying to find just the switch for the power steering rather than having to replace the whole thing! Supposed to call me today and let me know (1) if they've found the switch and (2) make an appointment to bring my car back in. Aaawwww me!
Oh, well, I'd rather be safe than sorry ... I just don't like surprises when I'm out there on the road, far from home. :-[
I hope everyone here has a great weekend and stays well and safe. I plan to just stay home -- same as always -- and do the same thing I always do: NOTHING!!
See y'all later.
What a gorgeous photo and nice text on it!

I am finally able to get into the site and to say a few words. I hope that on Canada's birthday that something that I say will be encouraging to those that read this. My wife ane I are at this time in our life very busy as we are going be moving after 30 years in the same house, then my daughter is getting married in October the 29th. so we have been praying for his guidence in many things. My prayer request is that the Lord will guide my wife in finding some medical help with her back problems.
We have always found him to be so true to his word and that the Lord never lets you down. I pray that you all will be encouraged to completely give your all to him each day and to pray for others also. May the Lord bless you this summer. Gord Brown.
Janet, right about the photo you see this:
Home > User galleries > Grandmom > New album
So, you can see that it's in the User Galleryies and it's a photo belonging to Grandmom and she's put it in her "New Album"
Hope this helps you.
Above each photo, you see whose photo it is.

Hi Gord!
Great to see you posting.
Now you did that, you just have to do it again...and again and each time it gets easier and easier.
This New Every Morning is like our Tim Horton's so this is the place to check in each day.
Yes, we'll be praying for Noreen. I know that this back of hers has been a problem for so many years. I'm so sorry. Has it really be 30 years? Wow! And now you're going to Welland. Well, guess when I go to the Falls, I'll just have to drop in.
But you must drop in here as well!
Talk to you soon, brother!
Happy 138th Birthday Canada!
I put up this big Canada day post on my space site :) http://spaces.msn.com/members/teresadawn so if any one is interested you can check it out :)
Hope you are all having a great day :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!
How is everyone today? We took Mercy out to some of the Canada Day celebrations, but it was a little too sunny for her new baby skin. We've had a nice day altogether though. I loved that picture of Geordie, Pat. Anyone traveling to cottages this summer? Well, I have to get going, I'll try to check in later tonight. God bless you.
jen.
I liked very much the photo/Scripture Pat. I'd leave a comment if I knew how to post there. Oh well - I posted here.
Teresa Dawn - I like your illustrated notes on the site you linked. Livens it up considerably.
